I make THE choice every day
I know I should update this intro but I can honestly still say that the truth of my story is still the moment wher my world and life changed on 08/21/2009 when my eldest daughter died. Being the fattest or the thinnest no longer mattered. The things that mattered were my family. The weight is the least of my worries anymore. Instead, I take steps each day to become whole again. I continue to evolve and find healthly outlets but the gist of the story is the same.

My life continues to change including the unexpected pregnancy of Everett. Halleigh always wanted a baby brother and now she has chosen for all of us. I wish he would be able to know her first hand. Instead, he will be told of his eldest sister's gift and how she and God chose him to be with us.
I will believe what my Creator has said: For I know that plans I have for you, plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. JER 29:11
I will celebrate every moment I can of Halleigh's life and work to ensure her legacy and memory is not forgotten. I will do my best to live in each moment with all my children and husband. I will do my best to make sure that I do not squander the gifts given to me - especially the gift of my family.
I am blessed - I am the wife to a great man, mother to 3 gorgeous daughters and 1 handsome son. And I have an attitude of a victor - I will not be a victim of depression to Halleigh's death. I will celebrate her, I will celebrate my family - I will celebrate me. That is what I chose today.

As of approximately 7/1/2011 I have taken the next step in honoring Halleigh in a positive fashion - I have created a charity in her name!! WWW.BOOKSFROMBUG.ORG Our purpose is to donate books to others.
