I am currently reading Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Solution and doing the South Beach Diet. I have already lost 10 lbs. My goal is to lose an additional 66 pounds in a little over 8 months @ 2 lbs per week by employing exercise and healthy eating into my plan. I am listing the months and dates so that I can see my progress.

Sept 10 - Today is the day I begin to reach my goal. My goal is to lose 8 lbs by October 10th.

Girl Look at You!

Girl, just look at you with your pretty self. You are so beautiful! Not only are you beautiful but you have the nerve to be talented and gifted by God.

Hold your head up girl and know that you are loved and appreciated. Don't give the enemy any place to cause you to have low self esteem or doubt. You are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made.

This is your year to decree it and speak it! This is the year of new beginnings. So, get your step on girl. God is faithful to perform all that He has promised to you! Be confident in Him and His word. The words you speak from your mouth determine your outcome.

Why not speak good and positive things over your life girl? You are not defeated but rather, you are more than a conqueror. You have been through a lot in your life and look at you now, just as pretty and as strong as ever! Oh, how blessed you are.

Look what God has done and look where He has brought you from. Begin to bless God and praise Him for all that He has done, and for making you so beautiful! He had you in His precious hands all the time.

Your life is orchestrated by Him. He knows you and what is best for you. Believe that He has even greater things in store for you and your family. Girl, get over the silly stuff and grab hold of faith. Seek God as never before. Sure, times are hard but God is good. Learn to love who He has made you. There is no one like you.

My Goals:
I'm a goal setter and love my Blackberry. I'm constantly amending and revising my goals. One of my current goals is losing 66 pounds over the next 8 mths. How will I do it? 2 lbs per wk, exercise 3x's per wk, healthy eating and a low fat, sugar free diet.

I'm also a breast cancer survivor so my long term goal is to stay that way.

My Program:
September 2009:

My doctor has placed me on the South Beach Diet because I've been having some issues with elevated blood pressures. I am in Phase 1.

Books I read to keep me inspired besides the bible:

1. BASIC Steps to Godly Fitness
2. Dieter's Prayer Book
3. Boundaries
4. Fit for God

Sample of Daily Menu;
Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices turkey bacon.

Lunch - Chicken or fish with veggies, preferably a salad

Dinner - Same as lunch

Dessert - 90 calorie fudge pop

Snacks - 15 almonds, sugar free jello

Personal Information:
I'm the proud mother of 4 beautiful kids and have been married for 25 years to a man who adores me. Who could ask for anything more? We live in the Mid-South and enjoy our home life. We hang out with our kids alot and I love it. I am the owner of Virtuelle Home Staging at I believe that God is real and I put Him first in everything that I do. I enjoy reading, decorating, goal setting and a good latte.
