Hello I'm Tamika! I have been serious about losing weight since September 2008. Since then, I have been using sparkpeople faithfully. When I need motivation; I read motivational spark pages, read & comment on other's sparkpages & I post blogs. I'm practically doing whatever I can to stay encouraged & not get discouraged. I'm believing that anything is possible for me. I've made the decision that this weight loss journey is not going to be without purpose & determination.

I�ve made it a purpose to celebrate every 5 lbs. It�s easier to celebrate one step at a time instead of overwhelming myself with the big picture (total weight loss goal = 85 lbs). I am so excited to be such an inspiration to those near and far. Previously I tried to lose weight secretly but it did not work because I kept getting discouraged and would quit. That is why I have made it known about my weight loss goals to people at work, my family & friends. I have been so lucky for the amount of support that has been given to me.

My Goals:
~ To lose 85 lbs and or have a Body Fat less than or equal to 25% (healthy zone).

~To lose weight to have better control of my asthma.

~ To wear a swimsuit w/o a skirt attached.

My Program:
Sunday - rest
Monday - 30 min incline/strength training
Tuesday - 20 min HIIT/strength training
Wednesday - rest
Thursday - 30 min incline/strength training
Friday - rest
Saturday - 20 min HIIT/strength training

Personal Information:
Don't stop until you get to the finish line, and when you get to the finish line, don't forget how and what got you there!

~ Participated in my first 5K, Thanksgiving Day 2009

~ Selected as Done Girl of Day on Feb 8, 2010

~ Completed Lifestyle Family Fitness Bootcamp on March 4, 2010

~ Sparkpeople Motivator January 2011

~ Completed my first 1/2 marathon May 5, 2012
