    Hi Leftie,
    I actually started losing in December. 10 Lb, Jan 10 lb, and feb 5 Lb.
    Chocolate is such a hard one. I actually ate two pieces most every day for quite a while. But then I wanted more so I thought it would be better to just avoid it all together. I have learned sooooo much by reaing on the Spark site. An alternative for a chocolate fix is a cup of hot chocolate with splenda. Carnation makes it and it has a LOT less calories. I will have to check on the side of the container for the calories, if you are interested?
    I have been putting on a lot of miles on the Treadmill. I started in Jan and did 51 miles. I watched a lot of little house on the prairie series. LOL
    In Feb I added aquasize or water aerobics 3 x a week. And started counting calories. I try to keep my intake at between 1200-1550 per day.
    The weekends are hard but I spend a little longer walking to make up for the cals. I try to ask myself: Is what I am wanting to eat really worth it? Some days I blow it but I start a new day fresh and make better choices and practicing those choices on purpose until they become lifestyle.
    It takes 3500 calories burned or reduced in calories to lose a pound.
    or 3500 to gain it. It is hard work but we can do it!!!
    I have not lost a lot this month but I have measured myself and have lost a lot of inches, my shirts are much more roomy so some of the fat is turning into muscle and muscle burns more calories than fat. (Even though muscle weighs more) Yayyyyy...... but, I think it is important not to gage your successes by just weight lost but by energy found, inches lost, stress reduced, as well as other things.
