2015 GOALS

How I will accomplish losing 70 lbs.:

• Utilize the tools and resources available on SparkPeople

• Repeat positive affirmation everyday.

• Provide support and seek out those that have figured out tips that has helped them be successful and learn from them.

• Create a calorie daily calorie deficit between calories consumed and calories burned. More on this below.

• Drink my water!!! No less than 80 oz. each day ESPECALLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

• Use the fitness DVD’s that I already have : 30-Day Shred and Tae Bo, Walk-Away-The-Pounds, Turbo Jam, and Slim-in-6. More info on these workouts below.

• Eat as clean as possible: rely heavily on the food choices that work best with my body as learned via 6WBMO, and various magazines on health & nutrition like Oxygen and Clean Eating

• Measure at the end of each month

• Have fun on my Wii and Wii Fit which is a positive option to being a couch potato.

• Drink at least 2-3 cups of herbal (green, white, roobios, black) tea a day to help me get in my water and curve my hunger which often led to mindless snacking, overeating during meals, and late night grazing. For me water is boring to drink so drinking my water in the form of tea really helps me a lot. Before I know it, I’ve got my water consumed in no time!!!

• Complete the entire 6 weeks of Slim-In-6. I’ve gotten all the way to the 5th week and would let something interrupt my flow and never finish. It’s a very good fitness program and it does get results. I’ve received compliments as early as week 3 in the past. For me…inches lost have been my result.

10 lbs. = New John Grisham book (digital format)
20 lbs. = Manicure
30 lbs. = Pedicure

40 lbs. = New outfit
50 lbs. = Massage
60 lbs. = Undecided....any ideas?
70 lbs. = Weekend Getaway!!

My Fitness Method - I seem to do well with cardio but I get bored doing the same thing. I LOVE working out at home so I choose to do a variety of fitness programs on DVD. These are my favorites:

~30-Day Shred

~Tae Bo

~Walk-Away-The Pounds

~Turbo Jams

Creating a Calorie Deficit: A calorie deficit is created when the amount of food energy (calories) taken in is less than the total calories you use up. This results in weight loss….yaaay!!!

Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? Here’s more info..... There are approximately 3500 calories in a pound of stored body fat. So, if you create a 3500-calorie deficit through diet, exercise or a combination of both, you will lose one pound of body weight. If you create a 7000 calorie deficit you will lose two pounds and so on. The calorie deficit can be achieved either by calorie-restriction alone, or by a combination of fewer calories-in (diet) and more calories-out (exercise). This combination of diet and exercise is best for lasting weight loss. Indeed, sustained weight loss is difficult or impossible without increased regular exercise.

Affirmations: Our positive attitude is the fuel for our success.

• My body heals quickly and easily
• I prosper wherever I turn & I know that I deserve prosperity of all kinds
• I pay my bills with love as I know abundance flows freely through me.
• I know that I deserve Love and accept it now
• I give out Love and it is returned to me multiplied
• I rejoice in the Love I encounter everyday
• I am the perfect weight for me
• I choose to make positive healthy choices for myself
• I choose to exercise regularly
• When I believe in myself, so do others

“Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of you doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use. “ - Earl Nightingale

Hi, My name is Tameka and I would like to welcome you to SP. This is a really great and helpful site whether you looking to lose weight, maintain weight, tone up, or just live a healthier lifestyle. The encouragement and motivation you get from other members is so awesome. It's also motivating for me to browse through other members pages and see there progress because it's not some paid advertisement with paid actors saying "you can do it too". Most people are willing to give and receive encouragement, motivation, and help in any way.

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to join some teams that interest you. Also join some of the challenges they have to offer. The challenges for me are really great because they help me to stay on track friendly competition is a great Motivator.

Last but not least, Use the Nutrition Tracker to TRACK EVERYTHING YOU EAT. This was the most important first step for me. It's eye-opening to see how many calories you consume without knowing it, and it's easier to stay on track if you are constantly aware of how many calories you've eaten and how many you have left for the day.

Congratulations on making the first step towards a healthier lifestyle! It won't always be easy… but the outcome is a longer healthier life that keeps us around to do the things we love, with the people whom we love… which makes the effort worthwhile! Also I would like to invite you to a couple of teams that I am on. These teams are full of wonderful members that are willing to lend help, motivation and encouragement in any kind of way. The names are America Next Top Loser and Miss Fat (Fabulous and Thick). So go ahead… check us out… and decide if you would like to join us. Much Love and Success***Tameka
