I've always been a little weight conscious.. when I was in highschool, I weighed 132.. and now i look back and I really was skinny, but then I thought I was the 'fat friend' because I hung out with girls who were all 115 or under. it was all about the number then to me.. but I didn't diet or watch what I ate.. oh how I miss those days!! I was active in cheerleading throughout the school year.. When I went to college I gained about 8 lbs, I was on a dance team and I still went to the gym..
Then the worst thing happened to me in 2004... I was riding with a drunk driver and we were involved in a car accident. I don't remember anything about it though.. I woke up in the hospital, with a cast on my left leg, and my right leg... had been amputated below the knee..... after my accident I've been less active than I once was because it isn't as easy to run, or even walk, it hurts sometimes. I've been trying to push through it because I need to get this weight off! After 6 years, I'm trying to re-learn how to run.. I'd love to do the C25K program.. I'd love to be a runner.. I'd also like to be comfortable wearing shorts, and be able to wear high heels and flip flops again, but I suppose that's off the subject. haha. It hasn't really changed me as a person and I've never let it hold me back, really.. I finished school, I got married, I had a baby... but I gained a total of 35 lbs, lost 25 lbs of it before my wedding in 2007, and got back down to 140.. then somehow I started gaining again (I really think if I ever get to my goal weight, I MUST do a weekly WI to keep an eye on that scale!), and I was back up to 159 before I got pregnant...
During my first pregnancy I went from 159 to 219..... A lot of it was water retention because I lost 38 the first week. My second pregnancy I gained 42 lbs, and lost 28 the first week.. So I'm back to lose the rest, and then some, get back to my goal weight of 140! Anyway, as you can tell, I'm long-winded. So here's to losing the rest of this weight!! Also, I don't want to scare anyone away, so if you have any questions feel free to ask! I'm an open book! :)

My Goals:
Aim for 96 oz of water a day.

Eat healthy and if I eat dinner with my family make it a small portion. This is a lifestyle.. everything in moderation.

Start watching my sodium intake again.


My Program:
Gained 42 lbs with my last pregnancy, I have 5 left til prepregnancy weight, and I'd like to lose 10-15 more.

Starting Take Shape for Life: 156.4 lbs

8/24: 150.0
8/31: 149.4
9/7: 148.4
Started doing more meals, TSFL 2-3 times/day
9/14: 147
9/21: 144.8



Personal Information:
I'm 28 from PA, married to my husband, Rob, and we have 2 daughters, Lexi, 3, and Lilah, just born in November! We also have 3 dogs.. crazy life!

    My official WI day is kinda Friday, but really not. I weigh myself every day (I know a little obsessive) and if I'm at the same weight for 3 days than that's my official weight for me.

    Thanks for the advice...I haven't really been stressing too much. I'm more of a guy...like tell me where to be and when and I'll be there. I'm lucky that my mom and fiance's sister and doing most of the stressful stuff. But I do hope I can enjoy it. My shower was Saturday and even that went by so fast! I'm sure the sangria didn't help that, but still, I can't believe it's already over!

    YAY! It's a fun workout...I LOVE IT!! Usually if I do 30 DS I'll also do a little cardio at the gym or go for a walk. Just a little something else since you'll find that 30 DS is more strength than cardio. If I do Jillian's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism (it's a 45 minute cardio workout), then I might just go to the gym and lift, but no more cardio on those days.

    If you have Comcast OnDemand they have intro's to both of these workouts on the Fitness OnDemand channel. I think they only have the first level of 30 DS and about 20 minutes of the BFBM.

    I hope you like them...let me know what you think when you get the DVD... emoticon
