So... it's been a while since I've been here (story of my life) - it's just not the same place as it was 10+ years ago. But I still like the platform, and reading my old blogs - so I still sign in from time to time, to do some reading.

But I thought I'd do a quick update:

Started Keto 1/1/19. As of 5/24/2020 I've lost 122 lbs. I have about 40 to 50 more to go, but my goal is more body fat % related rather than weight related. I'd rather LOOK GREAT than weigh a specific number on the scale. So that goal is going to be 18 to 20% body fat. For a now 42 year old, that's gonna be ROUGH.
But it's all good. I'm up for the challenge!

still currently Keto, and rockin' along. The weather is getting nicer, and I am gearing up to get back to road racing, and triathaloning.
So, exciting stuff! Stop by and say hello... I may not answer right away, but I will answer eventually!
Intro from 2019: Getting back up. Again and again, (and again and again) but at least I'm still getting to my feet and stumbling onwards. Even if the route I was taking had such a huge detour, that it took me back to where I started. Not important. I've been down this road before, so today I'm deciding to take a slightly different route.

2019 is here. I'm now 40 years old - so that just means things might be even more difficult. I'm ready though. I've had enough. Enough of feeling blah, enough of being tired and in pain.

I'll be trying a few things, and I may transition away from Spark - but I'll put details about that out there as they happen. But for now... I'll be here doin' my thing.

Fitness Minutes: 79,720

My Goals:
Find my mojo again, and get my groove back.

Run again (and find the joy in running again)

One full bodyweight pull up (by the end of the year!)

My Program:
1 day a week with my trainer (trying to save some $$ so I can get back to 2X a week).

I'm starting the year off focusing on my diet. I'll be following a Ketosis program (the same one I did, waaay back when). So if you see bizzare things in my nutrition tracker, that's why!

The gym/workout stuff will follow soon. Baby-steps!

Personal Information:
I've been back from Mexico for almost 5 years now (wowsers!), and I'm fitting into life again. My Freelancer life is in full swing, I'm back working for a Hospital (I'm a supervisor now, so my work schedule is definitely different than before). I'm single, and I'm almost ready to be in a relationship - however my outside doesn't match my inside and I want to be able to LIVE fully with someone and not be limited by my health. So I'm working on me first. I live in a lovely apartment in Lakewood, OH (CLE rocks!) and I love my little city so much. :) If you see me out and about, say hi!

    Thanks for stopping by my page. You're correct I could do that. But I don't feel I should have to lie and sneak on. If they really wanted me there they would have made it so all were accepted. Down the road if it is available and I will reconsider.

    It’s cold outside, but Spring is coming! Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of March.
