Hey I'm Karissa! I have decided I need to improve my life and one step I'm going to take into improve it, is eating healthy and become fit! I love my family, friends and dog Buddy! I play for a woman's football team and I'm ready to change my habits. I want to become the fit person I know I can be! Just one step at a time and I can do it!

My weight story:
I started college at about 165 and then progress to about 180 by my junior year. During this time I got diagnosed with depression and have been dealing with that by of course laziness and food (I know not good). I then tore my ACL in football practice and had to get surgery. This has thrown me way off and I progressed to 210+ from April to now. My knee did get better and I started to work out but I then started work and school all at the same time and I exhausted myself. By the time football came around I was not prepared to play and I tried running and I literary couldn't run or do anything. It wasn't because I was out of shape it was because of my knee and I ended up getting a bone bruise or something and now I'm back in physical therapy. It's so hard trying to lose the weight knowing I can't get a good cardio workout in and I'm trying to eat better but because of some of my medications, they make me retain water like crazy or something so I have to work extra hard to burn calories. I'm done with gaining weight and I want to love my body once. I'm not happy in my skin because I know I'm not in shape and I'm not were I should be. I also found out that abilify helped me gain my weight and now I'm off of it. I gained 70lbs since 2008 when I was last weighed at my doctors.

My Goals:
I want to lose weight and be at a healthy 140 lbs for my height. I also want to become in shape and be able to be toned and feel strong and good about myself!

My Program:
I need a new plan. I'm joining weight watchers. My main goals for eating healthier are I'm giving up soda and trying to cut back on processed food and fast food. I'm planning on drinking more water and eating more fruits and vegetables.

Personal Information:
I'm from the South Shore of Massachusetts and I would love a motivating buddy, who can help me get back on track! I played for a woman's semi-professional football team and its full-tackle! =)
