I have not been over weight my whole life, but it sure feels like it. When I was younger ( before teens) I was thin as a stick. Then puberty happened. I became chunky( like thats a nice way to put it). Then in my teens I slimmed down, but not until I finished school. That means I was always the fat girl in the group. I got married when I was 17 to a really great guy. He was the former football star to a neighboring school. Man could he eat, and I made it my quest in life to try to keep up. I did , and needless to say, I and my health suffered. After 5 years of marrage and a baby to boot, I entered my early 20's weighing in the heaviest I have ever been, A whopping 225 pounds. Unhappy with my marrage and just as unhappy with myself, I made changes. That wonderful man is still wonderful, A great father, and a really great friend, but no longer my husband. He now weighs over 300 pounds and I do worry about him, but we can't live other peoples lives. I myself managed to lose down to 130 pounds, and I also managed to put myself in the hospital needing gall-bladder surgery due to my starving and over exercising. I entered my 30's looking healthy and fit, and 6 years ago I found myself that once in a life time love I have heard people talk about. I have also noticed that the pounds are starting to creep back on slowly, but painfully true, surely. I have found my place. I am happy with my life and my choice of lifes partner, and I have a great son who is now 15 that I am ever so proud of. I live a dream life in Sweden, and have a very interesting job.......But.....My husband and I were on a Swedish national T.V. program last year due to building a submarine together. Needless to say the cameras were not kind. I was shocked at how I looked. We have been working very hard these past few months putting in a guidance system and making some improvements, and when we put it back in the water the cameras will be there again. I want to see myself this time and be proud of what we have done, not feel shame for how I look.

Hey Wendy ~ How are things going? I'm doing much better. I found this great workout on Cable the "on demand channels". It's great...I have no excuse! Ha! I hope all is well with you. I know you said it was way cold there. The weather has been almost spring like here. Highs in the 70's lows in the 40's it's crazy.

Take care. Keep on keeping on!

Hello Wendy! I am on expats, too, but not as active as some. American, from Pennsylvania, and living in Norway southwest coast since 81. Husband Norwegian. How is your swedish going? My parents lived in Arkansas for years, at Heifer project. Know it?
