I grew up as an overweight child in an overweight family but didn't really think much about it until high school. Food was my emotional crutch throughout childhood and adolescence, during which I suffered from depression. After my brother died of complications due to his obesity at the age of 26, I had a real wake up call concerning my weight as I was only 15 but weighed almost 270 pounds. I've been working on and off on losing weight since then and so far I've lost over 85 pounds. So I'm happy with how far I've come but I still have a few more more pounds to lose and I want to lose them by the end of this year. The hardest part will be maintenance but I'm ready for a new me!! And hopefully getting in shape will also motivate my parents to change their habits and get healthy too.

I need to keep my goals in mind and get cracking!! I still want to get down to 155 lbs, 27 waist - 32 stomach - 40 hips.

I am DONE with yoyo-ing!

My weight has been up and down since 2013 and I need to stop feeding myself excuses and start working for the body and life I want. I started this year at 207 lbs, lost about 3 lbs over the course of 6 months then regained that back and more. Now, its the end of September and I've hovering around 212 lbs. I never thought that I would be back up at this weight. Every time, I hit 200 over the past few years, I was able to cut back and get down into the 190s. But I let my depression consume me and stopped eating well, working out, drinking water, and maintaining a proper sleep schedule.

I would like to feel confident, strong, and healthy again instead of fatigued, bloated, and weighed down. I need to make sure that my back issues (herniated disc) don't flare up again and I would also like to be in good space for when I get married. With COVID, the date for that event is up in the air but I will use the next couple of months to get back to myself.

My goals for the next 12 months are:
1) Go from 212 lbs to 160 lbs
2) Lower my body fat percentage from ~40% to ~24%
3) Decrease my back pain by reducing the weight on my frame
4) Fit back into my size 6-8 and M clothing
5) Complete a 10K

Measurement goals: 160, 24%, 36, 28, 30, 42, 11, 11, 24, 24, 15, 15
