Fitness Minutes: 7,805

My Goals:
I am currently laid up with a quarter size wound on the bottom of my left foot. I have a broken knee cap on my right legs so I am unable to support myself using one leg and crutches. I am to stay completely off of that foot 95% of the time. So I am currently using my transport w/c and doing some chair exercises hoping to no gain any weight. My A1c went up slightly this last visit and he is says that the inactivity has contributed to that.

I have the encouragement and support of a very loving non-judgemental team. I love that this team fits like a glove. I am really going to be watching what I am eating more closely now more than ever.

Any suggestions to get in more activity with my left foot not even touching the floor or marching as that causes it to break away from the new skin it is developing. Ugh!

They should just jack up these eyebrows and give me a whole new body! LOL


My Program:
1. Drink more water to be feel more hydrated and ultimately feel better.

2. Reduce sugar drinks including sugar-free flavored waters.

3. Watch my portions and eat off a 9" plate.

4. Walk 3-5 times a week with hubby/ Duane , darling daughter Melissa ( RUBECCAL)

5. Plan meals in advance.

6. Get better sleep to decrease pain and have more stamina. I will wear my c-pap & O2 faithfully which helps my muscles to get the O2 they need as they are very weak without wearing it all the time. It is hard to walk up the 40 ft ramp on the front of my house as my legs would get really weak just doing that little bit of an incline. Now they are doing much better. The doctor also expressed that he would like to see me using it during the day as well. I have to walk with a rollator walker and I just can't seem to find anything that will mount the O2 on the front of it so far.




Personal Information:
I am 56 years old. I am working on losing weight to become more healthy and also live long enough to spent some time with my husband.. I love to do stitchery, sewing and many other crafts. I used to volunteer for Utah's annual Belly Dance Festival for about 15++ years I had to give it up due to my back and knees becoming so horrible. Now I try to do random acts of kindness mainly for friends to make their day special for them.

    Hello Paula thank you for your post to my page. we do have a lot in common and we will get through the ups and downs of this journey to better health and lower body weight. We can and will do this. I have not been able to do any exercise last few days i have asthma acting up on me so had to go on cortisone for 12 days and a few new inhalers and new pill. This is my first time for out of control asthma so i am a bit lost. Back pain and neck pain i know how to deal with. I know once my weight gets down all this will become much better and less painful.
    Your dad sounds awesome. Your blessed you have him. My son chews and is trying to quit he is now down to a can every 3 days it was 2 cans a day i am so happy to see him slowing down and trying to quit. He says when he sucks on cough drops it helps him and i have found out that he is right it also helps with not wanting to smoke..
    Another accomplishment today my husband decided to get rid of his collection of antique fishing reels that he has been collecting for years. He has decided along with me that if we are not using it or not going to be using it then it is going to go. it is going to be a long process but it is worth it. so many changes to make but all for the better.
