I am a 35 year old mother of two having trouble shedding the weight I gained with my second child and she is 6 now! I have been stressed and anxious and am guilty of making excuses for myself and it is going to stop.

I am going to get healthy and lose some weight! I will stop catering to everyone else with desserts. I will make low calorie versions of desserts once a week, but not every day.

A sparkfriend has this posted on her page and I found it so motivational that I wanted to add it to mine so I could read it daily:

Fitness Minutes: 1,386

My Goals:
To be 135-ish by June of 2013. :)

To set an example for my children on making healthy choices

To have more energy and a better outlook on life

My Program:
Simply to plan meals and eat within the range SparkPeople provides for healthy weight loss.

To exercise at least 30 minutes, at least 3 days a week. More when time allows.

Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.

Personal Information:
I am a 35 year old mother of two in NC.

My children need to learn that exercise is fun, not work... so do I. I plan to teach all of us!

Never Quit Pledge

Today, I promise I will not quit.

I pledge that no matter, how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

I pledge to make a NEW START today, and forgive myself for my past, and to stop being so critical of myself.

    So glad to hear about your future plans, and that my words helped in some way :) Regarding the app for couch-to-5K, I actually downloaded Zombie 5K! It has a story that progresses each workout, and you have to run from Zombies, so that's pretty fun :) Thanks again for stopping by my page!

    OMG, I have the same problem with my left foot on the elliptical. It gets sore too. It honestly gets really warm, almost hot, and just feels real odd. I hate that. I try to ignore it and keep on moving, which most times works, but not always.

    Hey, if you're losing weight, then what you are doing is working. Wish the BF would let you get a little more sleep though!
    Hope you're having a good weekend. I'm up early and just got the baby back to sleep. I could sleep or work on school and since my paper is due tomorrow, I'm choosing school today.

    Oh, and on the oatmeal, that's one of my favorites too. I hardly ever ate it, but after having Carly in January I have had a huge craving for it, and peanut butter! Odd how this has always worked with me...rarely any cravings during pregnancy, but always after pregnancy!

    That sounds awesome about the hockey game with the scouts! Yes, I'm big into hockey. I was so happy when they announced we would have a season, even if it's a short one. We're on a 5 game winning streak!
