Introduction Text Updated 12/29/11: Conveniently...I gained all of my weight back and steadily inching back. Depression has kicked back in and I'm not sure whether I'm coming or going some days. I don't find much motivation to exercise and since I now cook for a living, it's becoming trying to balance out time for healthy meals with early morning shifts. I'm seeking motivation but I don't know where to find it. Hoping that I become active again. One year later: So, I hit the quarter century mark and didn't get off the weight desired but I'm back into it again. June 7th, I decided to give myself a birthday gift by going to a personal trainer to jump start my healthy living journey. I've gone through the ups and downs since then but remaining strong. Starting this month, I made a schedule for myself on the workouts that I'm doing and gradually increasing the intensity. I feel brand new and stronger each day. A good friend said that people should move in upward motion and should progress from where you've been whether its one month, six months or one year ago. I may not have lost the weight desired but damn if I'm not moving better than last year, more confident with this skin that I'm in from last year or became a better person for my family since last year. Swallow a humble pill and then gain some confidence in whatever size that you're in and that's the first step. Next bust a groove, eat healthy and before you know it, you'll be there. In 2009: I am a twenty four year old married woman with one child whose tired of being asked if she is still pregnant, especially when her child is two years old. I have 80 plus pounds to lose and hope that this site will be my motivator. If God is willing, I want to open my own culinary business and be able to control my temptations in food. With His strength, I will be who I am meant to be and do the things that I am supposed to do. In the words of a friend of mine, "Always willing, never ready..." but I have to find some way to balance the both of these actions into my life.

New Goals! 140 lbs by June 2010. Getting down to 205 by Christmas. Reaching 190 by February 16, 2011 (anniversary). Transitioning to obese to overweight on the BMI by February. Transition this weight loss into a lifestyle change and maintaining it. Get back into boxing as well as picking up two other exercise vices along the way.

Drinking a minimum of 2 Liters water daily (8 cups), avoiding as much sodas and juices as much as possible. Gradually getting myself to jogging 5 days a week (currently at 3 for 45 minutes), 6 days a week working out alternating between DVDs and NYSC gym/home training. Keeping myself positive and knowing that the goal is so much closer than I think with the faith of God and supportive people. Upward motion people! I am learning to take the doubt out, accept me for who I am and put in the "I will." I can do all things through Christ!
