Hello! I am Mary, a Chicago wife and mama of 2 beautiful girls, 32 years old. I am a Painter and Actor. And I LOVE all things health related!

January 2013: So I am up 12 lbs from this point last year...harsh reality!! My clothes are snug and I am feeling unfit, sluggish and well, not my best self. Enough is enough and today, Jan 2, 2013 I am back on Spark with a renewed sense of getting it together. Gonna lose 18 lbs...let's go!

January 2012:
Wowwww....put on 9 pounds since August! All of the holiday eating/drinking and traveling I did added on some weight! I am trying to kick start everything with doing the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred in 30 days straight. I hope this will help me kick off this weight and tone up!
August 2011:
I hit my initial (pre-preggo) goal weight of 135 lbs and then pressed on to 132. I am now looking to shed another 5-10 lbs. I am done breastfeeding (as of 4 days ago) and am hoping this well help in my efforts. I am also trying to up the frequency of my workouts. Adjusting to a life being a mother of 2 so I am figuring out how to squeeze workouts in wherever!

Fitness Minutes: 22,664

My Goals:
1.)Resetting back to square one w/ 1200 to 1500 cals.

2.) No alcohol during the week...I expect this to make a big difference as I tend to drink my cals in vino!

3.) Minimum 4 workouts a week

4.) Juicing...1 glass 5 mornings a week.

5.) Tracking, logging, being held accountable on Spark...seriously KEY to my previous success.

1.) Workout 5 days a week.
2.) Drop 15 lbs.

Eating between 1600 and 1900 calories.

Workouts are a combo of running 5ks, Dance Fusion Class, Pilates, and Biggest Loser Dvd/30 Day Shred Dvd

Pregnancy Goals:

Tracking my weight gain with a reverse ticker;) Gain no more than 30 pounds.

Drink LOTS of water

Eat within caloric range 1800-2100 cal.

Workout 4 times a week!

PPW:135 lbs. 5'5"
12 wks: 136.4 (+1.4 lbs)
16 wks:141.6 (+6.6 lbs)
20 wks: 142.6 (+7.6 lbs)
24 wks: 147 (+12 lbs)
26 wks: 149 (+14 lbs)

My Program:
Jan 2013:
Per Week:
2 Cardio (most likely 5k at gym either on track or treadmill)
2 HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Classes
1 Yoga/ stretching/meditation session

For Jan. 2012:
Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred in 30 days straight!
Logging at least one meal a day.
1600-1900 calories (am exclusively breastfeeding)
Working out 4 times a week.

Eating between 1800-2100 calories and working out 4 times a week. I upped my cals when I wasn't gaining weight but still losing. Now at 14 weeks I am starting to gain. Workouts consist of Biggest Loser Workout Dvds, Running on the treadmill (3.1 miles) and spinning. Pretty much the same as before pregnancy, just a tad less intense;)
Eating between 1650 and 2000 calories daily.

Cook and eat at home as often as possible. No sugar except 2 tsp a day in my coffee, whole wheat grains, lean dairy and meat (barely any red meat), veggies, fru

    yeahhh you can do it!! i have a little over two weeks til my swimsuit :/ so im trying to do the trusty old plan of 6days a week being hardcore and one day a week resting and have a treat.. or two :) today is day 3 for me. today i did a firm wave workout-those are explosive! lol (and sold at wal mart lol) i feel all shaky from it but thats a good thing right? you can do it!!

    hello spark friend! thanks for the comment, i too have to get back to it this year! how was i skinnier right after having a baby and now have 10pnds that are bugging me?! :/ boooo! and we are going to an indoor water park in a few weeks :/ and i have to wear a swimsuit lol! want to be buddies and lose this?! :)
