**Monday May 3 2021**
WOW here it is the 5th month of 2021 already. I have not made the progress I wanted to but am now ready. I have started Gideon Games with Bright Line Eating. It goes this time from May 1 through July 29. We are in teams of 10. Every day that you stay on plan you get 1 point for the team. Should you not have a bright day eating than 0 points for the team. At the end of 90 days the winning team (and all that get 90 points - 1 point for every day) will get a call from one of the coaches. I don't want to let my team down so am going to get 90 points - how? I am taking it one day at a time - just for today I will eat on plan and before I know it I will have 90 days on plan - Day 3 now = 3 points for the group so far. Looking forward to feeling so much better and the possibility to be 15 - 30 pounds lighter by July 29 - that is an awesome goal to achieve. Would be lighter then I was when I got married 37 years ago when this goal is accomplished.

** TUESDAY APRIL 6 2021 **
Starting the 4th month of this year - and my progress is not where I had dreamed it would be. Thankfully I have 2 online friends that are a big help - one I talk to every day except Sunday and one is here from Sparkpeople. Their support means a lot to me - those that relate to being a food addict understand the need for support - and the more support the better. This month I am focusing on NO BREAD - it is the trigger food that is causing me to not have a bright line day.

** TUESDAY MARCH 2 2021**
Another month - February did not end as I had hoped. Have been told by the Doctor that I have what is called Covid Anxiety - it is not nice - and with it comes trouble staying on my food plan as in the past I would eat over anything that bothered me. But I am not going to let anxiety take charge of my life. I am fighting the meds for it but have some in case it is needed. Am practicing deep breathing, meditation and making sure I get enough water. Also need to shore up my food plan - can't keep having 'just one slice' of bread as that just doesn't happen. Looking forward to getting stronger with respect to no sugar and especially no flour. My Reboot Rezoom course has ended - really enjoyed it - and am working through it once again with many other Bright Line Eaters.

** THURSDAY FEBRUARY 4 2021***
January was a good month as I lost 9 pounds. But am struggling somewhat now. Bread (flour) is triggering me and am having trouble getting the lines bright as they have been somewhat wobbly. Need to keep my focus and work on getting my food automatic so that it just comes naturally to eat properly. Big thing I learned learned in January was that I needed to come to terms with my weight and eating. I have finally admitted that I am a food addict and because of that I understand that I just can't eat in moderation - one slice of bread leads to two slices and so on. I feel like an elephant has been lifted off my shoulders with just admitting that I have this addiction - now to work on recovery.

** SUNDAY JANUARY 3 2021 **
A New Year - so glad it has finally arrived. Am ready to get serious and to have a good year of releasing unwanted weight. I am starting a course through Bright Line Eating called Reboot Rezoom. It goes for 66 days so I am hoping it will help - this is the 1st time I am taking it. Big thing is to remember to follow the plan of (1) no sugar (2) no flour (3) no snacks (4) all food to be measured (5) write down my food the night before and commit to eating only what I have written down.

**SATURDAY DECEMBER 12 2020**
It is time to get serious and make changes to my lifestyle. Being overweight / morbidly obese is not good for anyone. Need to get over 100 pounds off my body in able to have a better life - less pain and less meds when I accomplish this. I have tried a number of 'diets' but have been working through the Bright Line Eating Program - lots of science behind it. Now to just follow the plan and the weight will take care of itself. So my plan looks like this:
--Breakfast --
1 protein
1 fruit
1 grain

--Lunch --
1 protein
1 fruit
6 oz vegetable
1 fat

--Dinner --
1 protein
6 oz vegetable
10 oz salad
1 fat

Marilyn, Thank you for commenting on my page. Your body's response to carbs and sugar sounds a bit like my own...it is amazing how much better I feel when I cut out the unnecessary sweets and such...and I have a sweet neighbor who is an excellent baker and insists on showing her love by baking scrumptious stuff. I don't want to hurt her feelings but this last time I took a look at the rich cake, had too much in one sitting and told myself for my sake I had to get rid of it...so I took the large remaining pieces that I had carefully wrapped and stuffed in the freezer and threw them away. I felt free.
