I'm pretty postive I've been in denial about my weight for sometime. In 2007 my doctor discovered a cyst on my overy, you would think no big deal right? INCORRECT! It was 8 lbs, pretty much like a baby. Well ever since having that removed I've used it as an excuse my stomach is pudgy because of scar tissue, oh it's becasue of my cyst just anything I could think of.

Recently discovered I have two hernia's due to the surgery, and I stopped working out becuase I was scared i was going to hurt myself. I had been fine working out before no pain nothing so why did I stop?!? Because it was an EXCUSE!!

Well I'm done using that as an excuse "Marlena that was in 2007!!!" So this is my year I have no plans to allow any of my previous medical conditions keep me from losing this weight! I will not use the *Because of my scar I'll never wear a bikini so why try again* or "The well the doctor said".

From 7th Grade to my senior year I weighed the same 183, therefore that is my goal weight right now. After that we will decide. Why is it that when we are younger and think we are over weight and unhealthy we are actually at our healthiest? This is my dilemma, I was always unhappy with my weight throughout school, and now I look back at my pictures and have to use them as motivation.

My best friends (who’s a personal trainer) introduced me to Spark People. I always felt it was a waste to write down everything you eat, figuring that I could just count in my head. Boy was I wrong!! I used Spark People for around 5 months and lost around 40 pounds. And then foolish me figured I had it together and once again was a genius at math and could do it alone. And now a year later I have gained all my weight back plus 10. UGH!!! So I’m once again on my journey and figured this time I would share it with everyone. Because I promise if I can do this anyone can.

My biggest realization is that no one can help you, you have to help yourself. I encourage anyone and everyone to share there story with me, or on my page. I enjoy success story!
