Some days I feel like the luckiest person in the world.
I try to live every day in gratitude
for my life as it is TODAY,
right now,
in this very moment.
I'm retired at 68 and still paying my bills (barely).
I've been married forever (FIFTY ONE YEARS!)
to the man of my dreams (most days),
my high school sweetheart.
My 3 children are all grown,
as happy and as healthy as I could make them.
I finally became a grammy in 2009!
Now we have three little darlings.

I just sold my beautiful second home on the sweet island of Anguilla and moved from a little condo back to a three bedroom house (up-sized!)

I LOVE to exercise and meditate.
I also love to eat and drink!
Time to get rid of these extra 50 pounds that have crept up on me in the last 20 -30 years of living the good life.
Progress Report (if I don't put it here, I'll lose track of it):
1/11/09 just lurking*** -2
1/18 started tracking ***-4
1/25 -0***lost 6 in Jan.
2/22 +1***lost 2 in Feb
3/29 -1***lost 4 in March, 12 lbs down!
4/25 -1***lost 3 in April, 14 lbs down!
5/16 -0 (after 2 weeks of increased calories)
***5/18 -1 !!!***
***5/19 -1 !!!***
5/31 -0 down 3lbs for May, 18 altogether
***6/1-20 on vacation @JasmineVilla
6/21 ***+2 (but SO worth it!)
6/27 ***-2 (easy come, easy go)

7/31 ***-0 (- the usual 3/month) -22

8/15 *** -2 I must get off this roller coaster.
8/23 ***-1 (down 3 for Aug- 25 altogether!!!)

I ended up down 2 for Sept- up 3 for Oct-
recommitting for November.
November- who the heck knows?

April- yahoo!!! increased calories- down 2 pounds!
update- it's Oct-2010- on a one year plateau but not giving up- never, ever, ever. Every month I try something new.

ANOTHER NEW update- after maintaining 168 for SO long,
my weight crept up 1-2 lbs a month since I developed hip bursitis and I am now (June 2011)
hovering around 180.
9/1/2012 update- STILL hovering around 180...
9/1/2013 ....still 181...
Will I give up?
AGAIN...12/2014 ...182-4 most days
(How great t9 be able to look back!)
10/17. After starting LCHF last year I happily touched 170 a few times but then slacked off and gained 10 back in a year and am now back to 180 AGAIN!

    No TV and only little windows but I'm posting my picture in motion of the ocean and imagining being there (my dream to travel one day). I listen to the tunes and GO. Eventually this room will have a TV but my other workout room didn't have one and I did fine. I have my motivational pics around me, my vision board and it keeps me going.

    On a sad note... my home computer has been 'infected' so not sure how active I'll be able to be on here for a bit...

    Hi Elizabeth, Thanks for stopping by and visiting my page. I have been very successful in my first month on SPARKS. My hints are:

    Eat within your calorie range religiously
    Be active every day (I spend alot of time on my treadmill (min of 35 mins 4 days a week) and I also use a pedometer with a min goal of 5500 steps per day)
    Become very inefficient with you activities...look for purposeful ways to increase activities (ie I use the bathroom farthest from my office as work LOL)
    Drink LOTS and LOTS of Water
    Use SparksTeams, Message Boards and articles to learn and gather tips...

    This is what I have been doing..... Good luck to you on your journey!

    I had commented on grammafrommt's page that I would love to learn to bellydance, like she does.
    I've only seen it on FitTv but haven't tried it at all.
    I wonder if there's a class near me.
    Are there all different kinds?

    are you doing bellydance? i just started dancing again - i take classes locally.

    i have a few dvds that i practice from. does any particular style interest you? i might be able to point you in the direction of some good dvds!
