Introduction Text I was 66kg before smashing my knee to pieces in May 2010, and due to my reduced activity level for a about a year afterwards I "plumped" up to 75.1 kg, which is more than i'd like. At my last visit to my GP (Aug11) she told me I was too heavy, too wide around the waist and my BMI was too high, plus I'm perimenopausal! .... Excellent! So I want to lose weight, slim down, tone up, firm up, lift up the fallen areas, get fit again, build up strength and flexibility in my and leg/knee, fit into those two pairs of jeans hanging in the wardrobe (along with the other clothes that seem to have shrunk), eat clean and healthy, and change the way I live. Am I asking too much? . . . . nah, just have to get off my butt and get stuck into it!

- Go from 75.1kg to around 63kg - Fit my jeans hanging in the cupboard = done! - Feel better about myself! = done! - tone up and get stronger, fitter = in progress! - lead a more healthy lifestyle = in progress!

- Walking with my dog every day - Tai chi and qigong - Kettleworx exercise program - Spark 28 day bootcamp - elliptical trainer - Eat better, less and clean!!!

I'm a 47 year old New Zealand woman who still wants to look and feel GREAT despite getting older :)

I really love making sourdough bread by hand, but it's not exactly great for the waist line. But in moderation it is just fine. Ideally I'd be doing this instead of my real job, but I don't think it will quite pay my bills!
