January 2011--- Hello--My name is Mirinda, I live in a really small town in northwestern Indiana....I am happily married, no kiddos yet but one would make a welcomed addition :) I do have two pit bulls they are my kids for now, love my doggies..........
My weight has always been an issue for me, I've always struggled to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle..........
My healthy weight is around 129 on the higher end....for my height and that's usually where I used to be before I got married, a little lower actually... but, after getting married and waaay too comfortable lol I've ballooned to 170!!- and I haven't been pregnant either....I am at 160 now and ready to get down to 130! The pics below--the first pic is before the weight gain --the second pic is after the weight gain.....and the last pic is a newer pic after losin 20 lbs....i look sad n that pic lol but I promise I'm much happier after losing!! U will B too!!!....I am looking for a determined buddy to lose with so if you'd like to partner w/ me let me know!!

Two months after starting---s

thru this hard work I've lost an astonishing 20 lbs. just after my first two months!! unbelievable...I guess that's what can happen if u stay determined and well, from goin from eatin nothin but crap and no exercising--to an all around healthier life style change----I'm super excited that this hard work has paid off! Sparkpeople really does work and I've tried a lot of different programs!

Six Months Later ---6/22/11-----I weighed in today at 132.9 :) ----only a couple pounds to go :)---I think I'm gonna push for 125 because it's a healthy weight and where I feel the best at----it seems like as you get closer to your goal it definitely gets harder, the weight comes off harder put I'm ready to push through!!

*Don't give in, Don't Give up!
* Reach 130lbs. by April

My Program:
* I've stopped eating chocolate and only allow myself a little here and there--one little snacksize or "fun size" pack of m&m's if I crave and that's it, no other junk for me--
*stopped livin off junk
*eat much healhier and no more than 1500 cals. a day
*exercise everyday atleast a half hour every other day but get some exercise everyday

    Hello! Wow we do have a lot in common :) Most of my weight gain did come after I got married, a few before. I think it would be great to be buddies since we have close to the same goals (both short for the 2lbs/wk and long term). I grew up near Hershey, PA which explains the deep love of chocolate, ice cream is another down fall, and my in laws are great cooks. :o)

    I started my weight loss plan on January 1st at 160--but as of today 1/9/10 I am at 156.6.

    I set realistic goals of losing 1-2 lbs. a week and so far I have lost 2 lbs. a week so I see that this is attainable and it motivates me!!
