I have succeeded and failed on every diet I've ever encountered (Succeeded in losing some weight, failed by gaining it all back and more... RAPIDLY!). I had WLS 12 years ago and was in pure hell for eight years before finally having that strap of satan yanked out. I will lose this weight and do it the "right way" and prove all the asshats wrong that insist that Lap-Band is the only way to go.

If and when my children struggle with their weight, I want to be able to say to them that it is hard, but worth it because it WORKS. And I will be the proof.

I'd really like to connect with other gals (or guys?) on here that are struggling and succeeding but am a bit shy to initiate. If you have something to say, please do!

My Goals:
I want to *feel* better and look better. I want to see myself as the sexy woman that my husband sees. *AND* I would like to weigh LESS than my tall husband.

Starting BMI - 42.4
Current BMI - 38.3 (7/23/11)

Scale Goals:

5% - 249 - Reached 6/17!!
240 - Pre-baby #2 Reached 7/15!
10% - 236 (less than husband!)
10% - 212
205 - Pre-baby #1 weight
10% - 191
185 - Celebrate "Overweight"
10% - 172 Whoa. Impossible!
154 - Celebrate "Normal!" What would I even look like? Maybe someday...

My Program:
I'm counting calories (1250-1600) and trying to move-it, move-it regularly. The tracking is working, but apparently I HATE exercise? Where's the koolaid that will make me love it?!?

    Keep up the good work, I am also losing weight for my family. I'm amom of 2 and I want to be able too keep up with them and look really good for my hubby (even though he thinks I'm beautiful as is). Our husbands are great! LOL! Feel free to add me! Take care

    Thanks for your comment on my page! With all of the advice about "sharing your journey with a friend" out there, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has difficulty talking about all this with my friends and family. And I TOTALLY compare my weight to my husband's! He's 6 feet tall and probably weighs about 180, maybe 185 (and he's one of those people who eats TONS but stays really slender without effort)...and there I was, 5'4" and 244. I'm aaaalmost down to his weight now (189ish) so I'm getting kind of excited about that. :)

    Saw your comment on ILIKETOZUMBA's page, and had to respond! My hubby was SKINNY when I met him, but I plumped him right up! I was overweight, and got to obese while I plumped him up. -sigh- At my highest weight, I, at 5'6", outweighed my 6'2" hubby by about 11 lbs (I was 246; he's not sure but estimates about 235). We started doing the Weight Watchers program together, and he lost 45 lbs while I lost 40. Then I lost another 10 and he gained 15... So he now outweighs me (yes!), but he does need to shed the weight he put on. I'm just hoping I can lose at a similar or faster rate... I don't want him catching me or -- God forbid -- overtaking me again!
