Hello Everyone,

Thanks so much for stopping by my page and reading my info.

For the most part of my life I have not had a weight problem. The most I had ever gotten up to was 160lbs. Most of the time I weighed in the 140's.

In 2003 I started having health issues and the weight started jumping on. By November 2012, I weighed in at 299 in my nightshirt. One by one my health issues got me. It was harder and harder to walk because I was in so much pain. I had to leave my job earlier than I had planned.

I had given up and had thoughts of going to a nursing home. Then one day I decided to not give up. I went to Doctor after Doctor, pleading with anyone that would listen, to please help me. Most said I was having problems because I was getting older.

Please don't give me the age card. I KNEW there was something wrong with me. And, I believed in my heart that someone could help me.

I kept on and on and told them (the Doctors), that there is something wrong with me. I begged them to please fix me. I had been to 12 different Doctors. I finally found one that realized right away that I did have a problem.

I am not totally fixed, but I am currently taking prescribed vitamin D3, taking Thyroid med. and Blood pressure med.

I am down 34 lbs. since November of 2012. Today is Friday, January 01, 2021

I knew if I would put my mind to this, some more of the weight would come off. It is a slow process, but I do not want to give up.

I can use all of the encouragement I can get. Thanks.

May each of you be blessed, today and always.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog! The scripture that you referred to in your favorite quote, Jeremiah 29:11 is a favorite of mine also. The circumstances of our lives sometimes tries to convince us that God doesn't care. It is at those times that we must go back to what the Word says and stand on it. God does have a good plan for your life. It has hope for a good future. With God you can't fail because He will not leave you or forsake you.

I still crave Reeses. Not all the time, but just when I see them, photos or in real life. My Reeses Radar can find them in a store within about 10 seconds of entering. My friends think it's hilarious. I haven't had one in years, though, can't take the chance of actually remembering what they taste like. I remember loving them, but not the actual taste. I don't crave them 100% of the time, thank God, but your poem was just so funny!!
