I have been on this (getting healthy) journey for a while now. And in that time I've realized a few things:

~ A failure doesn't mean you are one. Stop wallowing around in it. Get up and start over NOW. If you're not careful you'll look back a year from now (or more) and realize how much further away from your goals you have slipped. Time just makes it harder. Today is the day. Just suck it up and get on with it.

~ Being healthy is hard. Being fat is hard. Choose your hard. (This is adapted from a quote I heard, but it is so true.)

~ Life is about this one choice you have right now. These little choices you make to evolve yourself into a healthier, fitter person WILL add up! Keep on doing them even when you can't see that they're making a difference. Believe me, they are.

~ Write down your goals. Break them down into little chunks. And then keep.after.them. Look at them every day. Make a plan. Plan your meals. Plan your fitness time. Set it in stone and hold yourself accountable. Other things will come up sometimes, and that's ok too. Just don't let yourself quit.

~ I'm not going to lie to you. It's hard. It's really, really hard to persevere. But aren't you worth it? Isn't your health worth the fight? You ARE worth it. But if you don't believe that yourself you'll never succeed. You need to do this for YOU.

~ SparkPeople friends are some of the best supporters out there. Get to know a few. Invest some time in them. Hold yourself accountable to them. They'll help you on the way.

Fitness Minutes: 88,578

My Goals:
Long Term Goals:
1) Lose about 35 more pounds.
2) Get fit and healthy.
3) Run/jog a whole 5K.

Short Term Goals:
1) Lose the next 5% of my body weight
2) Exercise at least 4 days a week
3) Eat more fruits and veggies
4) Watch the portions!!

My Program:
I try to eat several small meals a day and drink loads of water (at least 8-10 glasses). I'm eating a lot less junk now, and more whole grains, fruits and veggies. Moderation and portion control are necessary! Around the middle of June 2017 I joined Weight Watchers and I absolutely love it.

Personal Information:
I'm 39 and live in Southwest Arkansas. I've been married to my sweetie for 11 years. We are proud parents to two beautiful, healthy children and I adore being able to stay home full time and homeschool them.

I LOVE to read (just about anything I can get my hands on) and I really enjoy watching movies (when I can find the time)! I'm always in the middle of some craft or project (knitting, painting, drawing, cross stitching, genealogy, etc).

    Molly I love all your pictures but I think it would be great to post a pic around the time you got back to serious business(June) then post a recent pic of yourself. Almost 50 lbs. that isn't nothing to take lightly!
    P.S. I love that quote on your page, emoticon "Being healthy is hard, being fat is hard, choose your hard! Such a simple quote but it really gives you a lot to think about!

    Molly your doing great! It seems weigh watchers is really working for you. I wish I was in 180ville. I just moved to 220ville and not looking back this time. Marching forward to Onederland and beyond. My scare being pre diabetic was enough to get off this merry go round I have been on losing the same 30 lbs. for the last few years. I wish you good luck on your weight loss journey. Hopefully one day I will be about to be where you are now! Linda
