Let's try this again.

It's a good old fashion New Year Resolution - to lose weight and get in shape once and for all.

We shall see...

December 22, 2009

I found SPARKPEOPLE in the fall of 2008, but did not use the site actively until December 2009. It is time!

I've struggled all my life, for the most part of it being at least 30 pounds overweight. Sadly, there have been times in my life it has been more. The beginning of this SPARKPEOPLE journey marks the heaviest I have ever been. There was a time that I got into the best shape of my life. I was weight training, kickboxing, and running. I held this into my early 30s, but it slipped away after marriage and a baby - just one baby. I can't imagine how some of you gals fight off the weight gain from multiple children. Bless your hearts!

Two days ago I got an Everlast Kick-Bag - hence the name Ms Everlast - I really liked the kickboxing part of my regimen way back when. I’m hoping this will fire me up! It's time to push through and make this happen. I won't kid you...I'm scared...and for so many different reasons - I'm hoping to post these reasons as time passes.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me.

Let’s Do It!

My Goals:
Let's start with 20 pounds.

Ultimately - back in the best shape of my life and hoping than better before.

My Program:
Currently -

Right now I am working on cardio by using the treadmill, walking my son to school, and taking the dog out more.

Personal Information:
I am a mother of two, a 14-year-old stepson and a 6-year-old of my own. I am married to a pretty great guy and feel very lucky to have him in my life. We live in Conejo Valley of Southern California and love it here - it is surburbia at its finest. I work from home as a medical transcriptionist - although it is great to work from home it can be very isolating and not very motivating considering I can work in my pajamas.
