I am a 30 year old mother of two, my almost 3 year old daughter and our six year old jack russell. My husband is in the Army Guard and we live in Calafornia. I am at this time working part time as a receptionist. I also do lots of volunteer work with the Army. Along with tring to do the homemaker things, like cook and clean the house

My 31st birthday looms and I'm not there yet. The fight isn't over by a long shot thoug. I have been on this journey for almost a year. While I haven't done as well as I had hoped, I'm still proud of myself. Last summer I took off almost 20 lbs. Although I haven't been able to keep up with my goals I have only gained 3 lbs. back between October 2007 and May 2008. I'm back on track and ready to keep going. I have set a new goal,that is closer and easier to obtain. Setting a goal that was almost a year away didn't work for me so 38 pounds by the end of August should be great.


So August has come and gone and I'm still here and so is the fat. Ok not doing so great at this whole lose weight thing. Life was busier than I thought. I am now more settled and working on restting life. We have made the move back to Virginia and are putting our hose back together. I have renewed my commitment to getting better and have joined a gym. Here we go again.


Let's go. I'm looking forward to the New You Boot Camp, a little motovation is just what I need to get me going. I am not discouraged by my lack of ability to accomplish my weight loss. In the past year I have seen some major changes in my life. I've made it through the bad and sad, with a few more scars, but I made it through. I have quit smoking, and now I'm ready to quit the fat. I am inspired by my mom who has been working hard and had lost at least 30 lbs. by the end of 2009. I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in a week, month, year. Watch me world, here I go.

My Goals:
To eat more fruits and veggies.

Drink more tea (decafe made with splenda) I don't like water.

Eat more fiber.

Get more active.

Enjoy Life and not have my size hinder me.

Have my daughter only ask me if there is a baby in my tummy because there is.

Go home at Christmas and have my families jaws drop.

My Program:
1. Count calories

2. Exersise

3. Make better choices about what I put into my body.

4. Pack my food (that way I am less tempted to eat things I shouldn't)

5. Keep better snacks at my desk for emergencys

Personal Information:
Origionaly from Baltimore Md.
Live in Virginia and am stationed in California.

Other Information:
I like to cook and eat(like I needed to say that).

I am curently teaching myself to sew and quilt.

I have taught myself to knit and do counted cross stich. Although I do neither of them very well.

    My name is Kristen and I just joined the Bootcamp this weekend. I have another 8 week challenge with my group called SLACKER NO MORE that we're in the middle of, so I joined this one for that extra push.

    I was reading some entries and I saw something about you going out to dinner with your husband...when was your birthday?? Just curious. Mine was May 9th and now I'm 33. This past weekend was crazy. My BDay Friday, My daughter Emory's first birthday party was Saturday (she'll turn 1 on the 14th), and then yesterday was Mother's Day. Whew! But, it was a fun weekend.
