After having had a lot of sucess and "living the dream" as I used to boast, I ve been sinking for at least a year, regaining most of the weight I had previously lost. It has been humiliating "wearing my failure" while carrying around all these extra pounds.

Today I bought a copy of The 17 Day Diet and I am making a commitment to stick to something for 17 days. I want to feel
the pride I recently had. I want to move forward. What better time to begin again before the holidays. Wish me luck.

Fitness Minutes: 16,618

My Goals:
I broke 2,000 fitness minutes this month (July 2010), an amazing feat for me. I'm very excited to have gone from being someone who bought in to the lie that I was doomed to obesity for the rest of my life, due to my age, to someone who loves exercise. My goal for August 2010 will be to
reach 2,500 fitness minutes and 161 the months end.

My Program:
FAST FOOD IS OUT.....It is no longer my best friend. I am relying on healthy proteins and less red meat. My max calories are calculated at my weight x 7. My weekly activity goals are 5 hours of cardio and 2.5 - 5 hours of strength training.

Personal Information:
I am a native Floridian and currently live in North
Florida. My high school
sweetheart and I have been married for 41 years. He is my biggest fan and supporter.

Other Information:
I am getting active for the first time in many years. It is a very impowering feeling. Some of the activities I am enjoying are strength training, biking, spinning, walking
and gourmet cooking. I feel like I have been given a new lease on life.
