After multiple restarts - I'm finally finding my way. My weight has fluctuated many times while being a member of Spark People. I've found that wheat and gluten are enemies to my weight loss as I have an immune reaction that causes me to gain weight quickly when I include it in my diet.

I started the latest fight to get to Onderland 12/2016 after getting a hip bursitis diagnosis and being told that losing weight was the only way to make it better. After 7 months and a trip to the foot doctor to see if there something else wrong with his answer for the umpteenth time being lose weight, I had only officially lost 10 lbs.

Some family members were having success with our local clinic's weight loss program so I decided to call as I was desperate for the pain relief. Turned out that weight loss didn't help the pain at all after losing 58 lbs but I'm at a lower weight then I've reached in 20 years. It's not an option for everyone, but sometimes we need that outside help that we never thought we would accept.

Now I'm working on losing the last 32 lbs and getting back into a regular exercise program. I need the accountability of Spark People and hoping to get back to using my FitBit again.

Have lost 58 lbs on a monitored program with medicated assistance. I never thought I would make that choice but I finally reached the point of complete desperation after years of failed attempts.
