Life. It is a precious thing. I want to love & laugh & grow old building memories with my friends and family.

I know life is so much more than what we eat. Or how we move. Or how we look to others. BUT what we eat and how we move ultimately will affect us.

I am coming out of a hole of depression, stress & bad coping habits. I had lost 20 lb and was doing well. Then life fell apart. High stress job, full-time volunteer hours. Mom. Wife. Had to quit my job. Then cared for my in-laws for 3 years. And lost them both within 6 months. Then was the execution of the estate...300 miles away. But through it all, I learned how capable I am. Even though I gained 30lbs of cortisol, I learned that I was strong.

I learned a few lessons:

1) No longer feel guilty for taking care of self: make time for fresh food, new recipes and fun workouts. I found that I love Pilates.

2) Know that to enjoy life, it's the little things I do that add up to an amazing return in my peace of mind & state of heart.
