I am a once and former Sparker - I reached my goal weight - I thought that meant I could stop tracking food and eat 'normally' - whatever that means.

Over 18 months I have regained about 35lb back, by eating to much and slacking off on the exercise.

The weight gain was bad enough - but my waist is over 6" bigger - yep you read that right, and my thighs each have an extra 3" of blubber encasing them.

I knew my clothes were feeling tight - *doh* - and I can deal with the weight far better than the inches, because I don't care how much I weigh - I care what I look like, and what I feel like.
(TBH I do care about my weight, but only because my knees don't need any extra strain on them)

So a new incarnation on here and a positive start, and my weight loss journey starts again.....

Fitness Minutes: 62,196

My Goals:
So my goals for the next year are:
1) to lose 6+" from my waistline
2) tone and tighten them thighs
3) shed 41+lb of excess fat, while gaining / maintaining muscle mass
4) shake ma' thing at a local music venue / rock club once per month
5) get cultured and get to the theatre at least once
6) be fit enough to start doing tri's again when the season starts next year

My Program:
Eating less junk and more health-filled foods
Reducing the binging, but not beating myself up
Keeping it real.

Running (treadmill or outside) twice a week,
Cycling (stationary bike or road bike) twice a week
Swimming once a week
Pilates once a week
then when I get those settled into my routine
Strength training 6 times a week

Emotional / Mental / Spiritual
cut myself some slack
do something I want to do at least once per month (see goal 4)

Personal Information:
Married - check
Kids - check
Working - check
Pets - check
In debt - check
Insecure and anxiety ridden - check

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl.     I drink 5 - 23 ounce thermos bottles of water every day. I need to for heart rhythm balance as well as I dehydrate quickly .. so water is not an issue.. but Thank you for mentioning it!

    Thanks for commenting on my blog! I agree running slower does help. I already run slow as a turtle though so I can't run any slower without walking. haha! Hope your week is going well! I can't believe we are already halfway!
