Homeschool Mama to 4 busy kids. Wife to one amazing and busy guy. Love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Always taking care of everyone and everything but myself. Well, it is my turn now. I want to lose weight, gain health and Lord willing have a baby. I have always struggled with my weight~ in fact I remember being fat at the age of 5. I was always teased by the kids at school and even by adults. I started dieting at the age of 12 by my mother's suggestion, though I would eat things I knew were not on my diet just to get back at her. I now realize she was trying to help but at the time I thought she was just being mean to me like everyone else. By the time I was 21 I weighed 300. Got married, had a beautiful baby and stayed at that weight. Then life happened and one stress after another...instead of handling my stress properly I ate it away. I have no idea my heaviest weight because I did not own a scale, but I do know that I was a size 38/40 Now I am a 28/30 and sometimes a 26 depending on the style and arms. I am so thankful for the progress I have made but I KNOW that I need to keep going and win this battle once and for all. And I KNOW that I will always have to watch my food intake and exercise.
The eagle eats only life giving food. When he eats something that makes him sick, he flies to the highest rock he can find and lays spread eagle with his wings out against the surface of the rock. He stays there until the sun draws out the poison, freeing him to fly with the other eagles. ~ That is just like our journey of weight loss. Bad habits, food addiction, unhealthy food are the poison and good habits, self-control, healthy life giving food and The strength of a heavenly father who loves us so are the the rock and I am so excited that soon I will fly with the eagles. I will be free.

My Goals:
My goals : Lose 200+ lbs, gain health, energy and stamina. Keep up with my active kids and dog. Do the fun things with them that I have always wanted to but could not due to weight ( like go horseback riding!), have a few more babies!

My Program:
Low calorie~ medium carb, healthy fats like grass fed butter and coconut oil, nuts and seeds, gluten free. Work out 20-40 min a day. Drink tons of water and Oolong tea.
Just bought the Body Gospel workout system cannot wait for that to come.

Personal Information:
Tulips remind me of spring, new beginnings, hope, life, color. So I chose to display tulips as a constant reminder of those things. When I get discouraged or down, when I feel like giving up these tulips will be a breath of fresh air to me and Lord willing give me the courage to keep on the journey ahead.

Other Information:
Eagles are one of the most amazing creatures. When we foster parented I called our home "Eagles Wings", the picture I had in my head was of a huge eagle spreading its massive wings around a bunch of baby eagles, protecting them. What a beautiful symbol huh? Then I saw this and I thought to myself..."This is the perfect analogy to winning my weight loss battle.
" The eagle allows the storm to take him to a higher place...the eagle finds a rock when he's in trouble and lets the sun cleanse him from any poison. the eagle doesn't flap around like the chickens, crows or sparrows. It waits patiently on the rock for the thermal currents, and only then does it take flight. Not bt its own effort, but by the effort of the wind beneath its wings."
God is my sun and my wind and through him I can do all things. I will find the courage to make the changes and fight the fight.

Welcome to Spark People! It's a fantastic place for support. When I first started I was a bit overwhelmed, just stick with it & it will become second nature.
