December 2019
Our final chance to work towards our year end goals.
Mine was to reach maintenance in 2019. That is definitely not going to happen. I made it through November, and Thanksgiving, without gaining any additional weight. That’s my good news. However, since I have lost little weight since August that means I would need to lose 8 pounds this month to reach my goal weight. I am pretty sure that it will not happen.
I will not think of this year as being a failure because, even though I did not hit my maintenance goal, I did lose 5 pounds so far in 2019 and I am down 85 pounds total for my journey. Also, I did not gain any weight (that I didn’t lose, anyway) in 2019.
Am I a bit disappointed, yes. Am I disheartened and discouraged, no. On January 1, I will simply begin anew and accept whatever I still need to lose as my new push for maintenance in 2020.
I wish us all a terrific December and I hope that you reach whatever milestones you have set for yourself to end the year with a positive, productive, and goal reaching month.

I appreciate your comment on my blog:
YES to Good Reasons--NO to Excuses! Thank you Pam! I also created a habit for December and each day I exercise---I put a red X on the day. Don't want any blanks---so it is working.
