Hello, I am the co-leader of the Indiana Sparkers team. Welcome if you are new! If you are having some trouble navigating the site I have added some of the smaller teams for specific cities to my friends list so pop by and visit your city team, too, if you get a chance!

If you are a team leader for an Indiana city feel free to send me a message and I'll add you, too. I like spreading the spark and connecting people!

About Me:
===[ The Mission ]===

My goal is 125. I started this journey in 2007 due to health reasons which have mostly subsided. I started at a very high weight, I still have a few to go.

===[ My "Little" Family ]===

I have a wonderful 8 year old daughter who is a type 1 diabetic (the insulin shots version), and we live in henry county, Indiana. We are currently preparing for a move closer to Indianapolis because that is where the jobs are.

We have a chihuahua, and we recently added a bichon type pup. I am currently working at potty training the pup so it's a little chaotic. The walks in the morning just got a bit more interesting not quite like cseasar malone on the dog whisperer but definitely a bit more exciting.

===[ Eating Style ]===

My eating style at the moment is lower carb and if I must have bread it's usually whole grain. I do have the occasional treat. I mainly am focusing on less processed foods, and more natural nutrient rich "stuff".

===[ How I use the Nutrition Calculators ]===

I don't log my food every day because of time constraints and it would be focusing too much on food for me. I use the food calculator to pinpoint about once a week.. more to tweak what I am currently doing. Some people use it everyday and I think that's great if it works keep doing it!

===[ Exercise ]===

I workout once a day for atleast 20 minutes, but I am moderately new at it. I started doing workouts just to try to help with things like endurance and I just felt like I didn't have much muscle strength. I received turbo jam maximum results from beachbody on January 6th so I have now added that in. It's my goal to workout everyday of 2009 since Jan 6th. I would say I am not a very good logger of minutes, but I'm working on it.

I am about to move to closer to the Indy area and will definitely like to find some buddies when I get there.

My current "workout plan" is to get to 125 with cardio, and then at goal to do px90 extreme for toning.

When I get to 125 hopefully this year (lol) I will post a before picture but I warn you it's scary! ^^ Hmm maybe around Halloween :-)

===[ Extra Motivations ]===

I once had an inlaw say to me that he'd be dead before I saw being thin.. well he is still alive so I guess the competition is on! It is important to take the negatives in my life and turn them into positives.

===[ Everyday is your day ]===

I believe the secret to losing weight is to not focus on what you could/should have done yesterday but more what you can do today, right now, everyday. If you fall down it's not as important that you fell as it is that you got back up.
