FORTY FOUR year old female, married, mother of 2. RN work nights in CCU full time.

It's been TWO years since I've been away from Sparkpeople. Time to come back home. Need help.

2009 Goals- participate in 5k races!
Registered in the following: GULP!
May 24th-Whitby 5k run/walk-chip time 33:25!
May 27th-Barrie Rotary Club Fun Run-5k-chip time 37:25????ACTUAL Garmin and Nike + time 34:44
July 1st- Barrie Canada Day 5k-37'55"-ALL UPHILL!
Sept 12th-Port Perry Carbon-Neutral 5k-38'05"-WHA??!!
Oct 24th-Nike World Run 10km-1:09:42-pace 6'58"!
May 30th, 2010-Toronto Women's Half Marathon and 5k-35:34. Crap run. Placed 238/417 7:09pace.
Niagra Falls Half Marathon-Oct 2010-2:53:49;gender place-1114/1369
Resolution Run-Barrie, Ontario-Dec 31/2010-no chip/gun time-just a fun run. Great jacket!
Around the Bay 30k relay-Hamilton, Ontario-March 2011-placed 219th for the 2 person relay-3:53 chip time-my 15k portion 2 hours. COLD!
Niagara on the Lake Half Marathon:Bib 204; 3:06:49; 8:52-not a PR -stinking hot day GREAT VENUE
Gravenhurst Sprint Triathlon-July 2011
Bib 234; 2:17:26; 750m swim=21:49 T1=3:40; 20.15km bike=1:03:28 (19km/hr pace) T2=1:52 5km run=46:39 (9:20 pace)-Super hot weather, close to heat stroke; but finished NOT LAST!
4KM Suncity Swim-across Lake Couchiching-1:46:16; placed 34/41
Full Marathon-Niagara Falls International Marathon-Oct 2011-7:00:02.4; 9:58 pace; 527/537 gender place; slits 21.1km =3:20:19, 2nd half=3:39:45.

5 lbs- new running shoes!-Bought Feb 24, 2009!
10 lbs- pedicure!-did not want due to crap weather
15 lbs- massage for an hour at the spa!-have NOT done yet!
20 lbs-new bathing suit (no matter what the cost!)-Can't find a full piece; DID buy a two piece! At 32 pounds lost I bought a new bathing suit/takinin/bikini with skirt.. size 12-14! Feb 2010
25 lbs-trip to California to visit friends!(OMG-not yet!) Can't afford it!
30 lbs-holy cow, will I ever get here? Train for 10k race!(Goal reached Oct 2009-Completed!)
35 lbs-start taking pictures of ME!!! (already started !)
40 lbs- talk to plastic surgeon about tummy tuck!
50 lbs- trip to CUBA! OR laser eye surgery.. ouch!

Goals? Lifestyle changes.
Weight changes? 160 would be nice (and a long time since I've seen THOSE numbers)
Size 12 jeans (not since highschool!) -Down from size 22 to size FOURTEEN-May 2009!
Goal met: Dec 18th-Size 12 JEANS.. size 12 dress pants~ AND A BELT!!!!
Run a 5K marathon by my 40th birthday!-Done May 24th! *five days after my bday-close*
Quit smoking
Be a better person


My Program:
Watching food intake, NOT dieting! If I "diet": I fail!
Exercise at least three times a week, hard and furious!
Keep physical DAILY!
C25K program--May 8th GRADUATED!

100 push up challenge-made it to Week 5, day 3 TOTAL pushups= 120! Feb 13th
- Jan '09
Sit ups- 100 M, W, F each week.-changed it up in April. Leg-ups and more core exercises instead.

    Gurl.. thats a boatload of cals you burnt on your running stuff. Are you carb feasting before your run like that? I think you are supposed to cuz you burn off your carbs running mileage like that.

    Packing the lunches isnt the hard part.. its actually having the time to eat it. emoticon We arent supposed to eat at our desks... and litterally its zip to the frig and pop something in your mouth. Thats normally how my lunch works as well. You know I have a bad habbit of eating fast anyway.

    the frig is stocked back up.. lots of fruits and veges and rotisserie chicken. Looks like last nite chop had too much salt and threw me into overage. I got an abundance of protein and salt.. and low carbs. hmmmm.

    This mornign I broke out my itty bitty lil skillet and cooked up some egg beaters, put them in a thin with a ww cheese.. and some strawberries. I figured I better just go ahead and eat.. since looks like the salts affected my weigh in. blah blah.

    so your polar doesnt allow any online posting?
    My polar 12 did.. but didnt like.. post to FB like your nike does.
    hmmm. thats definately something to think about.

    I do miss my trophy.

    geeh wiz.. and I was excited to be allowed on the treadmill today.. at a whopping 2.8. (and she innitially put me on 1.5).. like REALLY...?

    Thank you for your kind comments regarding my run & pace, I was pleased with my time, for my first 1/2 marathon. emoticon

    You will be able to finish your 1/2 marathon in the "goal" time you set for yourself. emoticon

    Hi Jenny and good morning!

    I did complete my first 1/2 marathon on Saturday June 12 in San Francisco! Woo Hoo! It was super hot, especially for San Francisco. I ran the whole time, I did stop briefly for water. I completed the 1/2 marathon in 2 hours 25 minutes; an 11 minute pace. I loved it, heat and all. I am signing up for my next 1/2 marathon in November! When is your 1/2 marathon?
