Get those brushes out again if you enjoyed painting. Obviously you did because you are proud of what you did. Watercolors are the most difficult paints to work with and take more time to experiment with and learn. If you've worked with oils or acrylics, you know that "you can't make a mistake," but watercolors are a whole 'nother animal. Get back to it, Woman!

You're a good detective -- I'd forgotten that I put the still life on my page. Later I did gild the frame and think it's the version that I posted in Limerick this evening. I also thought of painting the painting in the painting, but it seemed like overkill and I'd already considered the piece finished. Norman Rockwell's triple self-portrait has always amused me and it inspired my painting-within-a-painting. Some time ago I came across something else -- a Rockwell-inspired, triple self-portrait of Alfred E. Neuman. No links work in these messages, but you can find it by googling both their names together. Very funny and very silly.
