I had my daughter a little over 9 months ago and I just finished breastfeeding, so I'm ready to lose the baby weight! I want to prepare to have another baby, and I want to feel good about myself. I've learned that the only way my self-esteem isn't horribly low is if I'm thin, so here I am... again!!

Fitness Minutes: 643

My Goals:
To lose the baby weight from my daughter and prepare to have another baby.

My Program:
To eat low calorie but healthy and exercise 5 days a week, at least.

Personal Information:
My name is Brittany. I am from Northeast Nebraska. I'm a vegan, as I already said and I'm also Wiccan, so I love the earth as well as it's animals. I love talking to anyone about my choices. It's my passion. I don't however like talking to people who don't know what they're talking about, like people who say that a vegan baby would die. I'm lucky enough for my choices to have had a huge impact on the people I'm around though. Having an impact on how even one person treats animals is great for me. My fiance became a vegan when he started to date me and I couldn't be happier about that. He was a vegetarian before but when I showed him dairy farms and how the chickens are treated that they use for their eggs, he understood. It's really quite cruel. I'm going to be starting Herbalism school sometime soon, when I get the money for the down payment saved up. I love to read and write and be outside as much as possible. I'm never as happy as when I'm outside or spending time with animals.

Other Information:
Well, my favorite movie is Avatar. It has such a wonderful message. I don't have a favorite book. I love to read too much to pick a favorite. It used to be that I was rarely seen without a book in my hand. I would walk around town reading even. I even used to read the dictionary. I guess I'm just a book worm. As far as other things go, I don't really have favorites. I like variety in my life. As far as mucic goes, I like folky soft rock though, like Jack Johnson, Nora Jones, and Sufjan Stephens. I also love indie.... Death Cab for Cutie, the Dodoz, and Kings of Leon are my favorites right now. But like I said, I love variety so I'll listen to most music. I don't limit it.

emoticon How was your weekend? Hopefully you were able to sneak in a workout or 2!

    Motivational Message:

The indispensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you want.- Ben Stein

A Hot List is basically a to-do list with one key difference: it only includes topics or tasks that really matter to you, those that genuinely affect your quality of life. You know -- the ones you never get around to! The ones that will make your life your own!

Keep a prioritised Hot List handy to remind you to claim 5 to 15 minutes to focus on and write about what counts in your life. Even 5 minutes is better than nothing. Start small and the momentum will build.

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage -- pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically -- to say 'no' to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger 'yes' burning inside. So, What's on your hot list?

    Have a MagSPARKnicant weekend!!!

emoticon - sorry I haven't posted messages. My internet was out for half the week and then I have had to catch up on emails and work. Hopefully this new year is treating you well.

    Motivational Message:

What is opportunity, and when does it knock? It NEVER knocks. You can wait a whole lifetime, listening, hoping, and you will hear no knocking. None at all. YOU are opportunity, and you must knock on the door leading to your destiny. You prepare yourself to recognize opportunity, to pursue and seize opportunity as you develop the strength of your personality, and build a self-image with which you are able to live -- with your self-respect alive and growing. -- Maxwell Maltz

In this new year, don't wait around for things to happen - MAKE THEM HAPPEN! Take control of YOUR life and YOUR destiny. In the words of Margaret Mead - We are continually faced with great opportunities which are brilliantly disguised as unsolvable problems.

    Have SPARKtastic Day!!

emoticon , just wanted to let you know that I will be leaving for New York till the 30th. I will try to post as often as I can! Happy holidays!!

We don’t laugh because we’re happy, we’re happy because we laugh." -- William James

Why laugh? Laughter nourishes the soul and triggers joy. It’s a natural stress reliever. It stimulates the immune system and increases oxygen, stamina and our breathing capacity. Medical literature is full of reasons to laugh for the health of it.

Don’t rely upon your funny friends, favorite sit-com or jokes to tickle your funny bone -- just laugh for the joy of it! Remember: Laughter is like the human body wagging its tail.

Thanks! It's because I'm 5'9". Don't know how tall you are, but one of the benefits of being tall is you can hide your weight well. But I still know it's there! Ha ha.
