I've been trying to lose weight oohhhh, for about 15 years now. It slowly crepped up to a grand total of 30 lbs that need to be lost.

I joined SaprkPeople about 6 mos ago, but I didn't really get serious about losing my weight until 9/17/07. I have a personal goal of a 30 lb weight loss. Of course I'm a bit flexible if I'm working out with weights and I gain back a few lbs. due to muscle wgt.

My main goal is to be healthy and look good, and to not have to obsess about my weight or ever have to feel uncomfortable about it again. Just to strike a balance.

My target date is the beginning of June. We have a big family vacation planned to all go to South Carolina for a surprise vacation trip for my Mom's 80th birthday.

My Goals:
150 lbs:(Reward) Buy some special skin wash and body cream to soften trouble spots on back of arms. Reached goal 9/19/07 (Stuff worked great!!)

148 lbs: (Reward)Buy teeth whitening system. Reached goal 10/27/07

145 lbs: (Reward)Buy Body Rolling DVD set. Update hairstyle. Reached goal 11/20/07

140 lbs: (Reward)Get into some old jeans saved and packed away. Buy breast firming cream I wanted to try. (I hope it works as well as the skin cream did for reward #1.) Purchased a pricey mascara when @ 145.5 lbs. and told myself that I coulndn't use it until I hit 140 lbs.

135 lbs: (Reward) Purchase some new clothing. Buy some bras that fit properly.

130 lbs: (Reward) Get laser hair removal treatment done. (I sound like an extreme makeover at this point. LOL)

125 lbs. (Reward) Enjoy family vacation and keep maintaining with a sound, healthy diet/way of life.

My Program:
My focus is to lose 2 lbs. at a time, each week. I start each Monday with a weigh in, and my goal is to be 2 lbs lighter by next Monday. No matter what I weigh in at on Monday, it's a 2 lb. focus. So, if for some reason, I gained a lb. I still go by trying to lose two lbs.

I try to stay within my SP goal ranges for calories, fats, etc. Escpecially calories; I have to be w/in 1200-1550 calories. But Personally, I try to stay w/in 1200-1300, this way if I go a bit over a day here or there and it's as high as 1400-1500 then it's not so bad. I know that I still will be OK for weight loss, even if I did go over.

I apply the Weight Watcher's principles being that I was a member there about a year and a half ago. I started out well, but for some reason, I just couldn't seem to get below 145 lbs.
