Hello Everyone, I'm Heather and I'm ready to start living this life to the fullest and I'm starting with the overdue and necessary journey "battle of the bulge". I've pretty much been heavy since pre-teen, and so it's a mental thing for me as well as physical.

I've succeeded before however, my highest at 296 lbs, and I got down to 217 lbs. Eventually an excuse of vacation getting off the diet, struggling to get back on, life events and the passing of my dear Mom, I made my way back up to 287 lbs. I'm now down to 273 lbs, 14 lbs loss since March 18th, when I finally put the foot down on myself (lol) and got serious. I'm happy to have found this site and looking forward to meeting positive like minded people.

(My handle was suppose to be Ready4Life, I'm just going to stick with this one)

1/18/10 - Unfortuantly after losing 40lbs in 2008, I'm back up to my top weight. I had a bad car accident that left me in a lot of pain, and led to emotional eating.

I'm back, Today is day 1. I'm hopeful that I can have the same success as I did in 2008! I now an extra added incentive, I'm going to Hawaii in August 2011 :)


Starting new mini-goals, to reward myself for the small successes.

Mini-Goals: (FOR 2010)

270 lbs - Pedicure (MET 4/16/10)
260 lbs - New Shoes (MET 7/30/10) - 4 pairs of shoes :)
250 lbs - Hair cut/style (MET 11/18/10), hair is cute, but shorter than I wanted it, 8 inches cut!


Mini-Goals: (FOR 2011) - Back at 270lbs from holiday weight gain/eating bad etc. (2 1/2 months)

260lbs - Pedicuare
250 lbs - Comfy pj's & new jacket
240 lbs - New outfit
230 lbs - Trip to the beach
220 lbs - Two new outfits
210 lbs - Trip to Seattle
200 lbs - larger trip like Vegas etc.

I would like to get down to 180lbs or a size 14. And what comes with losing weight to have more energy and feel great!

I'm doing a Modified Low-Carb diet, which works for me. Trying to drink 8 glasses of water per day, and exercise at least 4 times a week.

    I completely forgot about your trip to San Francisco, I'm sorry. I was like SP stalking you. emoticon I got a little worried but I'm glad you had a great time.

    Oh I most definitely gained during my stay for my Grandma's 80th birthday party. I have put on...wait for it...13 lbs. emoticon I know!!!! It wasn't just going home, I lost some motivation there for a while and was stressed out with school, job, name it, it stressed me out. But I think I'm back on track. Yesterday and today have been really good. Food choices were good and did 5 mile workouts both days. I'm trying to keep it up. emoticon

    That sucks about your belongings being stolen. I'm a firm believer in Karma, and that person has it coming to them. I hope it didn't completely put a damper on your vacay.

    I can't believe it's going to be September in a week. Where this year went is beyond me but I have to say, my summer has been great. Aside from the fact that summers in FL mean hurricane season so it rains every day, I really have had fun. I am looking forward to some cooler weather though. emoticon These temperatures are really getting ridiculous.

    Well I am so glad that you are back because I've missed my buddy. emoticon

    Hey Gorgeous!!!

    How are you? I see that the trail hike was pretty great. Awesome. Finding new ways to get a workout in is becoming a whole other workout in itself. emoticon I don't know about you but I feel my momentum starting to slow down, which in turn usually slows my motivation. I am starting a kickboxing class tonight and hopefully I'll really love it.

    I am so excited for tomorrow (National Dance Day). I can't wait. I will be participating in my old dance company's celebration and I can't wait. Taking classes all day with amazing choreographers from the US and abroad. It should be amazing. Hope I can still walk by Sunday between kickboxing tonight and dancing all day tomorrow... emoticon

    How funny that we both gained the exact same amount of weight? Well if we didn't know it before, we know it now..WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER... emoticon .

    I am still really impressed by your 13 mile river trek, with or without other paddlers. I have curly hair and my arms tire just trying to blow dry my hair straight and that's no where near equivalent to 13 miles. BRAVO!!! emoticon Proud of you.

    Well I'm glad you found an appetite suppressant that works for you and you are taking it safely under supervision. Diet pills can be so scary.

    Well I guess I should do some work since I am only working until noon today and it is already 10am and I have done nothing except play on Sparkpeople. emoticon
