If you'd like to know more about where I've been in my health journey, you can find my former intro in my blog dated 6/26/2011, 3/30/2011, 9/16/2010 and 7/10/2010.

Updated July 2015: Had my annual visit with my doctor this month and had great news! For two years in a row, haven't had any lingering symptoms or physical problems to report. I feel great!

Lab results still excellent. I have been blessed with teeth that have needed lots of dental work. Summer of 2014 after feeling 'off' sometimes found out I had a tooth with an infection in the bone. Very interesting to see how much dentistry is using computerization now while having a root canal procedure.

That's when I realized if I ever needed dental or any other surgery, I would have to stop taking the Fosamax generic for a month before surgery could be done.

I don't eat bread often these days. Soft tortillas are used for my 'sandwiches'. Still enjoy thin slices of a baguette dipped in seasoned olive oil. Non-fat yogurt, LF cheese and LF salad dressings (used instead of mayonnaise) are daily ingredients. Calcium chews (vit K included) during the day, calcium citrate and vitamin D tablet at night, along with a 'hair, skin, and nails' tablet at night.

Maintaining my BMI. Did lose the 10 pounds I gained in 2014.

Still very careful about wearing shoes that don't interfere with the bunion trying to develop on my left foot (the foot that was giving me problems because of plantar faciitis). When it does bother me I make a point of wearing a toe guard for a few hours to re-align my big toe and relieve the pressure I feel on the joint.

My plantar faciitis isn't a show-stopper for walking and hiking now. Again, wearing shoes with the right support, especially when doing a lot of walking or hiking is key. Not walking barefoot on plush carpet makes a huge difference. My foot does't bother me if I'm barefoot on a hard surface.

Now, after watering the garden, and I'm reeling the hose up as fast as I can (imagining I'm a sailor releasing a sail as fast as I can to catch the wind), I remember when I had to have someone else wind the hose up for me. Even if I could have endured the pain, my arm was useless.

I am really feeling blessed.
