10/23/17 Hi! Think it has been almost a year since i was here. I'm not a happy camper. It seems like I'm never going to lose this weight. Been trying to shake it since 2008. I keep giving up! So here goes again another try. Someday one of these have got to take! I remember when I try to quit smoking I quit over and over again without success until one day I succeeded so hopefully that's what's Happening Here. So this should be my successful round. I also took long breaks in between trying to quit smoking but one morning I woke up decided that was it I quit and never smoked again. Wish I could do that with food but we can't and I think that's what makes it harder to lose weight is because we can't just quit food. We need food to stay alive. So here goes to another round; round one and I don't know how many attempts throughout the years but here goes. Wish me luck!!

My Program:
I try to lose at least 1# per week.

1. Track all of my food to stay under 1800 calories
2. Minimum of 10 minutes of fitness daily and at least 90 minutes weekly
3. Positive self-talk at the beginning of each day (note I love this goal!!!)
4. Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies daily
5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
6. Develop a plan for eating out at restaurants.
7. Plan & follow menu
Every 10 lbs I loose I get a reward! Last reward was dumbbells; I plan to be down 30 lbns by Jan and then I'm getting my haircut and colored! That will make 30 lbs down. DONE! Need to lose 7 more to get hair done again- (every 30lbs) goal set for 5/1. I'm getting my hair done 05/02!! Another 30 gone!



Personal Information:
I am 61 and need to lose over 100 lbs. I've lost 27 pounds since 10/22/17 when I returned to SP. I live alone and don't have any family close by; so I need friends on SP that will keep me accountable. In 2008 I was 185 & kept gaining from there. In 1997 I wore a size 6 now I'm a 3X. I would like to get down to 145lbs.

Starting weight was 275 on 10/22/17 Goal weight is 140 (By March 31, 2019)

    Yes let's bdo this together and maybe we can challenge each other. I try to go 3 days a week for Curves. Our Zumba classes are in the mornings where you do the circuit. I substitute teach so I am usually working. But when I get a day off Iwill go. I started at curves 3 yrss ago. My life has been one big stress after another. But I really want to make some head way. Maybe if we will keep each other accountable we will do and NO TURNING BACK. Let give a try anyway. What could it hurt.

    I also love to do Zumba and belong to Curves and I am having a very hard time right now. I need some motivation. I thought maybe we could be a help to each other. Right now I have a lot of stress in my life. My husband is on chemo therapy and I have my mom and my sister to take care of. Stretched to the limit. So I am trying to do more for myself right now. I have gained about 15 lbs. since my husband was found with cancer. I need to make a turn around.
