My name is Sandy.... here I am again starting over for the last time!!!!!!!!!

I was a member under SANDY92308. I been a Team Leader, I was voted a Motivator which was such an honor, But most importantly I made tons of Spark Friends. I am a avid spark supporter. I tell every one about spark people. and how spark has helped me though my journey.

I once was feeling god about myself as my weight was down to 184 lbs and I was exercising all the time. But I let myself get caught up with stress and family and I just let myself go. The numbers on the scale kept raising and raising. I lost sight of the healthy path I was taking. I took quite the detour. So here I am again starting over. at 295 lbs.

In my darkest hour I made a terrible mistake... I discontinued Spark People! (Sigh) Yes, I removed my account! Word of advice... Don't ever ever do that because sooner or later you will want to come back to this wonderful place that offers you every tool that you will ever need to reach your goals, and those friends who loved and supported you. When you do come back ... you have to start ALL over again! Like I am doing right now. Yes I am starting over. for the tenth time around this will be my last time.

I made some positive changes since being away; one is called "Accountability" and the other is realizing that this is where I needed to be! and All you need to do is eat healthy and watch your portions and exercise regularly you can lose weight. And that no yo yo diets are gonna work. and why pay a lot of money to lose weight when spark people is here to help at no charge at all.

Starting over and seeing where this new path will lead me, and hoping I can motivate others again while keeping myself motivated.

I am a stay at home mom to 7 kids ranging from ages 12 to 29 .I have a wonderful husband who supports me. We been married for over 20 years and to this day he still tell me I am sexy and look beautiful.

I have always had a weight problem and been struggling to lose weight. I have tried so many different diets and programs and exercise videos only to lose focus and give up. I am sick of being over weight and obese. I am always tired and hate the way I feel and how my body looks. I want my kids to be proud of me and see me as a role model. I want my husband to see me as his sexy wife again. I want to learn to love myself and feel sexy again. So that is why I decided to do something about it. I want to learn how to handle life and stress and still lose weight at the same time.

My goal is to lose weight and get healthy and to reach 160 lbs.

When I first started spark people which was way back in 2009, I weigh in at over 280 lbs. I work hard to lose the weight. By Christmas 2012 I got myself down to 184 lbs. I stayed there for awhile. I was on cloud nine. Cause I lost over 100 lbs and it felt good. Then I put me on hold figuring I had everything under control.. Now I am here at 295 lbs ;( So as you can see I don't have everything under control. I let life and stress and everything get in the way.

My hubby found out he had diabetes type 2. Doctors put him on meds and insulin. He had a hard time dealing with his diabetes. He went into a depression and his Bipolar started acting up. He was having mayor mood swings. Yes even stop talking to me and spent all his time on the computer. It was so bad that we almost got divorce. Cause he wasn't happy with life and every time I tried to help it push him away to the point he wanted out. He wanted to end his life. He felt so loss and always scream at me for every little thing. Well I fault for our marriage and for us. He finally came out of his depression and got help. By this time I was stressed and had started gaining weight. I had so many things going on in my life and I felt like I was failing apart. I would skipped meals or eat for stress. I was always snacking which wasn't good

So here I am back on spark people under a different name. I realize that I can't do it alone. I need support and motivation. I am learning to just take one day at a time. I need to stay away from all the bad foods that I love and crave like cakes and pies and cookies and donuts and all kind of sweets and chips and fast foods.

I have learned that this isn't a quick fix It a lifestyle change. Their no magic pill or diet. You have to change how you eat and get up and move more. For me I want to see my kids grow up and get married and have their own kids. I want to travel with my hubby and see the world. I am 53 years old and I just want to get healthy and fit. I have Allergic Asthma which everything triggers it from dust to spells and animals and yes even stress. I just want t get control of my health so I can be here for my family. I do not want to be skinny or sick. I just want to be healthy and live life to the fullness. I want to be the person I'm supposed to be, and be healthy and strong. This is my goal and dream. I have forgive myself for my mistakes I've made in the past and to start liking the person I'm becoming. I have to move forward and start fresh which is what I am doing. I have come a long way in my journey. This life-changing experience is still true today.

Now that I'm planning on following the Spark lifestyle, I feel so much better and feel like my life has taken a turn for the better. The most important thing is that I feel in control of what's happening to me. and take accountable my actions.

If you look inside yourself you will be surprised to find you can do it too.

Let go of the past
Your journey has molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think that you've lost time. There is no short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time. We either make ourselves happy or miserable

Value yourself. Treat yourself respectfully and compliment yourself on what you do well just the same as you would compliment another. When you disappoint yourself, tell yourself you are not a perfect person, which makes you no different from anyone else. You will not execute your weight loss plan flawlessly. Allow yourself some setbacks and keep those setbacks in perspective. When you have a failure, resolve to not repeat it, but most of all resolve to not let that failure define your ability to meet your goals

My goals for 2021

1--- Quit smoking Done
2--- Get under the 200 mark
3--- Track everything I eat and stay within my calorie range (Doing)
4--- Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily (Doing)
5--- Eat at least 5 fruit and vegetable servings daily (Doing)
6--- Exercise at least 30 minutes 3x week (Doing)
7--- Plan a date night each month with my husband (Doing)
8--- Enjoy every moment of my kids life (Doing)
9--- Get 8 hours of sleep nightly (Doing)
10--- Get back into walking daily

About Exercising

Stay on a consistent exercise program throughout your lifespan. Try not to view exercise as a temporary means to and end (weight loss). It is part of a healthy lifestyle, and while it does help you lose and maintain weight, it can steer off plenty of health problems, from heart disease to depression.

How to start fresh follow the following:

E = Exercise (my own challenge - 30 mins 3 times a week

N = Nutrition (Eat 3 balance meals, 6 servings of fruits/veggies daily,).

R = Rest (8 hours of sleep).

W = Water (64 ounces per day).

There is only one person who is capable of setting
limits to your growth: IT IS YOU.

Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your
limiting beliefs. Examine yourself, watch yourself. Don't be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses. Be a winner, build
yourself and your reality. It's the way you face Life that
makes the difference.

I am determined to make a change in my lifestyle for a healthier and enjoyable future. It is time to get on the path to a healthier me. For me, for my family, for life.

I know that I am not on spark daily but I do check in from time to time and I am making my own way in the fitness world and figuring out what works for me. At the moment its watching the carbs and moving. Don't give up on me :)

My Goals:
Lose an average of 2 lbs. per week. As I need to lose 100 lbs,
Fit Into My "Skinny Jeans
Drink 8 glasses of water daily
Eat low carb .

Get some form of exercise for 30 minutes a day, minimum 5 days per week.

Personal Information:
I live in Adelanto Ca with my husband and our 6 kids from ages 12 to 20, I also have a oldest boy who 29 he on his own now..
I enjoy ps4 games and watching movies and gardening and cooking and baking and spending time with my hubby and kids.
We have a house full of pets as we have 3 birds and 3 dogs and 2 cats and 1 breaded dragon and 1 red ear slider turtle and 2 snakes. and 2 iguana's and 1 chinchilla and 1 gold fish

Other Information:
Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something
Small changes every day + perseverance = big results
Always wake up with a smile
Always hugs your kids
Always tell your kids and hubby you love them every day
Always make time for your kids and hubby
Make sure you make time for yourself even if it's only 10 mins a day.
Enjoy life and love yourself because you are worth it
