Oldest bought a home, youngest leaving for college. I feel good about where I am and where I'm headed, I just wish I had started much sooner to set a better example for my gang.

I'll be 50 this year. Anyone who has been a friend with me already knows that! I'm not dreading it all. Its just a number and doesn't change the way I feel about myself, EXCEPT I know its about time to do what I want and take care of myself.

2013 was a good year. Looking to make 2014 even better!

Just finished my first BLC (22) and feel great. Turns out I LOVE a good challenge. Being a part of a team has given me new energy. Helping others helps me. Go Sapphires!

I lost weight 18 months ago **the wrong way**, now I'm really paying for it.

I've noticed my general out look has changed alot lately. I love just feeling optimistic. (5/10/2013)

My Goals:
1. 5K - Running
2. Handstand
3. Register for at least 5-runs/obstacle this year.

AWWW - still my fitness goals and not really working hard on them. Time for change.

Shorterm - I want to get out of the 170s. I've been hoovering here way to long.
8/29 - Blew past that 170s, not hovering in the low 150s, but I have every confidence in the world i will continue to become a healthier, stronger woman.
6/10/14 - 144 ish working toward the 130s
7/2017 - got myself back into the 150s in 2016, but at least I did not go all the way back to the 170s - below 140 now and on the move.

    Thanks for your comment on my blog.
    I eat ketogenic when I need to shred for the summer. I race bikes and I need the power to weight ratio to be right or I get left behind by the younger, stronger lot. Normally I'm pretty light but this winter was a hard one and I ate rubbish food instead of proper food, as you do.
    I have kept my weight in check for decades by eating keto as I know that it works. I used to race horses when younger. I follow Exante mostly nowadays, as then I get 100% of my RDA of nutrients. I do eat tomatoes for the extra potassium, various other non root veg to bulk out the calories and take a magnesium supplement as it keeps my suicide (cluster) headaches at bay beautifully and has done for years now. That and a Q10 supplement.
    I in the the throes of a relationship breakup, which is probably keeping me awake. Probably more to do with life changes than eating keto. The energy is fantastic but I could do with some kip.

    The Spark People Garmin Group has a leaderboard of everyone's steps in the group. TamiP has a group challenge of her own. I will have to find out about challenges in the sP group.

    Thanks for the suggestions Sara - I find that even if I eat breakfast and lunch later that I still overeat in the evening.....maybe because I don't eat much at dinner and then get hungry later. Maybe I should try using Duct tape!
