I’ve been part of the SparkPeople community on and off for years. In the past few years I’ve been absent to have babies. However, I always come back because this community truly works for me. I waited too long after my last baby to recommit to this process but when I did, I experienced healthy weight loss that brought me back down to my pre-pregnancy weight . . . just in time to get pregnant with baby number two. Now that I’m done having babies, I’m excited to get back to the accountability of tracking my food and the motivation to exercise that this community offers!

Since having children, I've been a little more gracious with myself than I have been in the past. I don't even hate the new shape of my body; in fact, I'm downright impressed with how it rocked growing humans. However, I don't love getting completely winded doing the things that used to make me happy, the aches from extra weight on my joints, the subtle background stress it puts on my confidence which, in the end, impacts my relationships. I'm simply looking to be a healthier and happier role model for my kids.

Step 1: Utilize all the tools on SP

Step 2: Move a little every day, despite the weather

Step 3: Have a goal . . . perhaps be on a triathlon team?
