February 2019: Hey! Still fat! In fact, even fatter. And drinking too much. Going to try sparking again...since this community and tracking my food does actually work. 50 pounds to lose.

October 2014 Update: I got a new, stressful job and I stopped running. I''ve gained 15 lbs since the new job and really just need to get my life back under control. Between work, toddler, commute, chores...I don''t know how to fit in exercise.

March 2014 Update: Well last year I had a kid, gained 55 pounds, and still have 30 to lose. Boo! Good thing the baby is cute :-)

I''ve signed up for a half marathon on March 30 and am trying to get back into my running routine. My biggest struggle is healthy eating. Hoping back on Spark to get support and track all my food since it worked so well in 2010.

Goals for 2014: Lose the baby weight by baby''s first birthday!

Original post: Hello! My name is Debra, and I started exercising in January of 2010, initially motivated by my engagement. I had put on 40 pounds in grad school, but was always overweight. Now, I''m married and I''m back to my pre-grad-school weight, but would like to lose another 15 pounds.

Along the way, I''ve developed a love of running...especially in races. I completed my first 5K in April 2010, my first Half Marathon in March 2011, and the Marine Corps Marathon in October, 2011.

For 2012...looking forward to continuing to live a healthy lifestyle and setting new goals.

My Goals:
I want to be healthy and fit. And look cute in my clothes :-)

Along the way:

1. Continue to beat my 5K race time (PR 27:24)

2. Run a 10K race (DONE! PR 63:54)

3. Run a half-marathon (DONE! PR 2:08:14)

4. Run a marathon (MCM 10/30/11. DONE! PR 5:16:10)

My Program:
In 2011 I ran my first half marathon...and my first marathon. I am struggling to develop a "maintenance" running program. I'm no good without a race on the horizon!

Generally, I run 4 times a week, for 20ish miles total.

I should lift weights twice a week, but it ends up being more like once a week. I'm also trying to do some stationary biking at the gym too.

Personal Information:
Currently living in Fairfax, VA but previously lived in Ohio for ten years.

Other Information:
Dead Last Finish is greater than Did Not Finish, which greatly trumps Did Not Start.
