Introduction Text I believe health and happiness are choices. Life is too short to have a bad day (a choice). I can do the best I can, with what I have, where I am, right now. Right Now!

Get back to a healthy weight to optimize my health and reduce the stress on my knees, ankles and feet.

I try to add more movement to every day. I start with a good workout in the AM so I know I've kept that promise to myself. Then I try to find ways to add more activity throughout the day. Keep an eye on simple carbs and stress and work to limit both.

In 2006 I got mad. I was tired of being invisible and taken for granted. I determined to take back my life, for me. I made the time to exercise more regularly and focused on portion control. Slowly the weight came off. I went from 222 in April to 180 in December. I was able to maintain that for about 6 years. Then in 2012, the weight started creeping back on. By September, when my best friend was dying from metastatic breast cancer, my weight was back up to 210. I re-committed to getting my house (ie my body) back in order. Here I am, back on the path.
