I lost 40 pounds in 2006, then regained about 35 by 2010. The first time I lost the weight more quickly with lots of time at the gym and a trainer. Then when I met my goal, I didn't stick with maintenance and slowly over the years went back to my bad habits. This past year I have started all over with SP and slowly built up my exercise without a trainer, just using DVD's and SP exercise tracker and demos. I always log my food, and keep on weighing myself. I have learned that I can maintain if I keep my exercise going and eat under 1700 calories most days. If I want to lose, I have to stick to under 1500 and keep my exercise to over 1000 fitness minutes each month.
SP gives consistency awards, perfect attendance awards, spark points, and an award for gaining more than 1000 fitness points each month. They come out to your mail and account around the 4th of each month. It took me a while to realize they did all of this, and for some reason, I want to earn them. I enjoyed cleaning out the leaves and debris around my house today, too! We had the best spring Sunday in Omaha today. I even opened my windows! Glad to find someone on Spark People from Omaha that enjoyed our day! I'm on my second year with SP! Welcome! 3631 days ago
