roud Clover Leaf 5% Challenge member and committed life long learner of getting healthy! No longer focused solely on a number (from the big bad scale) I work daily to increase my flexibility and stability. Refocusing on closing out my 40s in a couple years and welcoming my 50s in top notch health. Currently working on developing a training program to prepare me to run a marathon in 2022! Crazy I know but that's what I plan to do the year I hit the big 5-0!

More about me: I'm married to my best friend (seriously we were BFFs for 14 years before we became hubby & wifey). We have 5 wonderful combo kiddos who are all adults (4 sons, 1 daughter, 1 significant other, 1 son-in-law, and 3 amazingly active granddaughters)

I work in the community college sector and wear many hats. I teach strategies for college success and I work in administration to help improve our processes to help support our students in their pursuing their passions.

Finally, this journey is my way of breaking a family cycle of obesity, poor health, and decreased quality of life. I have watched my mom eat her emotions and not take care of herself as she has been the caretaker for my grandparents until their passing. I watched my grandmother drain my mom's energy because she herself hadn't taken care of herself throughout her life. I want to make the most out of this blessing of a life I've been gifted with and I don't want to create additional burdens on the people I love as I age. I want to enjoy each moment, each day, with the energy and enthusiasm of a child!

Oh yeah, and maybe lose some weight along the way.

My Program:
Track calories
Practice yoga min. 10 minutes a day.
3 days of cardio
3 days of strength training
7 days of positivity and growth

Personal Information:
I'm clumsy and I guess you'd say I'm the class clown but really I'm just me. I'm a bit quirky and smart and fully accept that I'm a bit of a nerd, bit of geek, bit of book junky, bit of a clown, a bit out there, and most of all that I have a big heart and love who I am becoming and my family very much.

I am also very outspoken about being bipolar and all the joys that come with it. All mental health issues are open for discussion. :)

Other Information:
My name "Stuckinmycubby" originally came from the fact that I worked out of a cubicle which was super small. Now I'm stuck in my closet of an office but at least I have a door :)
