Never give up on your goals and try to take steps towards reaching them. They can just be tiny baby steps but do take the steps.

I am 50 year old mother of 2 daughters (age 22 & 16) a stepdaughter (16) and a stepson (15). My highest weight ever weighed 230 @ 5 feet 5 3/4 inches. I have not weighed 230 lbs since 1998.

I work a full time job and have been working steadily since high school. I love all types of music. I am married to the love of my life (aka Spidey27). I love to spending time with my family. I do genealogy and donate blood regularly.
I am also working toward becoming an EMT.

Thank you to all the wonderful people here who have supported my weight loss efforts and have cheered me on every step of the way. You know who you are. :-)

My Goals:
Short term get out of the 180's and into the 170's

Long term to get down to a normal weight where I actually feel good about myself.

My Program:
I am trying to get my eating under control. It seems married life has not helped my waist line. I am writing down what I eat and going low/no carb for my dinner meal.

Personal Information:
Highest weight ever: 230 lbs in 1998 (Two years after the birth of my first child).

I was an overweight child who eventually became an overweight adult. I went on my first diet at age 13 in 1982 @ 184 lbs and lost a ton of weight (too much). I gained some weight back and entered high school as a normal weight person and pretty much maintained my weight for those four years. I have had a few short bouts of thinness as an adult and I am working on maintaining my weight loss for life. I am really tired of the roller coaster ride.

I am also doing this to try to prevent getting diabetes as both my parents have adult onset diabetes.

I consider my mother and my grandfather who have both passed away to be my strongest influences and life heros.

Can't stand starving so won't not eat totally not an option plus it makes me really cranky. This and messing with my sleep makes me an unhappy camper.

Refuse to give up - not gonna happe
