Just looking back over the years of being a member on SP. It has become an essential tool for my weight loss progress. At each cross road of raising kids and changing schedules and driving kids and loosing myself to motherhood, I fail to care fro myself. This last year was the worst. I was tired and needed a break. I allowed myself much down time. No exercise. No counting calories. I let my self go. My health is paying the price and it is now that I see how fast we can loose ourselves to ill health and depression. I am beginning again so that I can safe myself from slipping into a person that I am not. It's not about what clothes size and looks, it's about balance and healthy living. It's about caring fro myself. My body is my temple. My body is the place that my soul and spirit lives. To be free, all parts needs good health. Healthy spirit, mind and body!

Fitness Minutes: 4,655

My Goals:
Meet my goal weight and raise my fitness level.

1) Be aware of the calories in...

2) Make an effort on calories out...

3) Drink all the water!


Balance the week. If I fall off the wagon, then get up and get back on!

My Program:
Exercise 3-5 days a week. Rotate cardio... Walking, running swimming, biking, chasing children. Weights and yoga also.

Keep it fresh... try new activities each week.

Honestly my plan is really to be kind and loving to myself. I will not beat myself and I will take the slowest road possible to weight loss and good fitness.

Personal Information:
I am a very busy single parent. I have 2 wonderful daughters. I am dedicated to their helping them find their own purpose. I want to set a great healthful example for them! We are constantly on the go. I try to squeeze in workouts while they are participating in their activities. I am trying to keep a gym bag packed so I am always ready. Sitting on the sidelines is not an option!

Other Information:
My ipod is my workout buddy. I down load Podrunner music. It's free and excellent motivational fun music. I am working my way through Podrunner interval training. It is an excellent way to get back to running 5ks and 10ks. Usually once a week I do the lazy woman's workout. Ride a stationary bike with a book.

    Do watch the YOUTUBE series "THE SKINNY ON OBESITY" with Robert Lustig M.D. whose book "FAT CHANCE" comes out in December. It is so helpful.

    I'm reading Richard Johnson M.D.'s book "THE SUGAR FIX" and have learned so much about Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance. He has a wonderful lecture on Youtube.
