HI Tammy ! I saw ur post on another persons page,, I also have MANY Physical ailments,,,,,, some which you also have,,, along with 19 surgeries on my feet ! YO I am sooo tired of being put into casts,, I could FLIP (well LOL I WOULD IF I COULD ! LOL). I started off at 288 lbs,,, am currently at 209.3) Last week I was 208.3 and celebrated my 80 lbs lost !! WOOHOOOO !1 this week I went NUTS with sweets,,,, so now the team I am on ,, is a 5% team,,,, challenge to lose 5% of ur weight in 8 weeks ! WOOHOOO !1 QUItE a FEW make it,, by exercise,, and cutting back on junk food . This week for our team,, there are 12 teams in the 5% challenge,,, we have pledged to NOT eat JUNK FOOD !! We have a member who has been very successful with this,, and she LOVES ADORINGLY as DO I,, JUNK FOOD !!! So yeah, we are gonna SHOOT FOR IT !1 If you'd like to join us on the NO JUNK FOOD just hit my page,, and we can touch basis,, on a fairly regular basis.
Plz do NOT get discouraged. WHen I first started, I was in a wheelchair (they can't figure out,,,, but, whatever I have,, minics MS, but my spinal tap shows its not),, there are times I can't walk,, and times I can,, I am on a GREAT STREAK of being able to now,, and I am taking FULL advange of it !
At first,,, I did exercises as much as I could,, with chair exercises (type into search,, SPARKS has quite a few,, or on youtube,,, you can find a TON of them !) I also did weights (1lb at first) thru out the day. NOT only did it help my arms to get stronger,,, but, it also was a contant reminder,, of I CAN DO THIS !! I hope you can find something you can do,, for a little bit each hr,, if your bed bound, or chair bound,,, as I was. Its a GREAT way to MOTIVATE ourself. It's also GREAT when you wanna reach for unhealthy food !!!
I will say at ONCE,, DO NOT go under the calorie allowance on ur ntutrition tracker,,, that's VERY imporant,, remember Tammy, this is NOT a "Diet" it IS a LIFESTYLE Change,, and it takes TIME to get this all under hand,, PLZ DO NOT Expect "perfecion" none of us do,,,, and at first, we may have a LOT of changes to make.
