"It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task, which more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome." William James

I need an attitude adjustment. Over the last year I gradually reverted to my old eating habits and regained 10 of the 20 pounds I lost.

Instead of a negative attitude focused on what I don't want--to regain weight, outgrow my clothes again, feel old and frumpy and out of shape--I need to focus on the positive.

I am empowered, not deprived. I will get up and move every day. I will not eat after dinner. I will reach my goal weight and maintain it. I will have the strength to run up a flight of stairs without passing out. I will not beat myself up for setbacks. I will live my life and be happy and healthy, and let the good inside me flow outward to touch those around me.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to fit into the clothes in my closet.

Long term goal is to grow old without depending on medication. Most health problems of the people I know are directly related to poor choices.

My Program:
I exercise and drink 4+ liters of water every day. I am trying to get in the habit of keeping a food journal. I want to cut back on soda and eating in front of the TV.

Personal Information:
My name is Teresa Slack. I write Christian fiction from my home in southern Ohio. My husband Ralph and I have an extended family of 3 kids and 3 grandkids. We are currently empty nesters (highly recommended) and share our home with two rescue dogs, Molly and Angel. Check out the adoption and rescue page on my website to see how to feature your furry friends.

Other Information:
Visit me on my website at http://www.teresaslack.com to learn more about me and my books.

Evidence of Grace, Book 3 of my Jenna's Creek series debuted nationwide at #18 in the Christian market. My first best seller list. Woo Hoo!

Hi Teresa, thanks for visiting my page.

I love reading your spark page. Wow a writer and best seller listing too. Whoo-Hoo!

Well welcome to SP. I'm sure you'll find your way around nicely. I see that you've found some interests already. That's great. Pop in any time and let me know how you're doing.

I'll grab one of your books and try to get it read before I head back to school in a few weeks. Best wishes on your journey down the scale (I like saying that... it sounds musical).

Bless you my new Spark friend. -- Jackie

Nice to meet you Teresa! I really need to find a Spark Buddy! Would you like to be mine?

I have been gaining back the pounds I lost. Everyday that I think I have been careful with my diet I hit the scales the next morning, and end up disappointed. If I can have enough will power to stay away from sweets, I could keep the pounds off. That is really want I need to be accountable for. People always bring them into work and I am always saying to myself...."I'll stay away from sweets tomorrow." LOL
