So last night my husband and I started talking about a lot of stuff and I realized something about myself that was not very easy to admit - I am not who I want to be. I am in my late 20's and I have accomplished a lot in my life that I am proud of. But I still am not comfortable and confident in who I am as a person. My husband looked at me with this sort of confused look and said "then become that person." I wanted to tell him that it is not as easy as it seems and then he said "If anyone can change it is you." He is right. In all aspects of my life, when I have really set my mind on something, I have accomplished it so this should really be no different. Now the question becomes who do I want to be?

* I want to be a person who respects the body that was given to them. I want to eat right, exercise and relax. Without a healthy body, I am only cheating myself out of life.

* I want to be kind to others. I believe that a good deed never goes unnoticed no matter how small it is.

* I want to be friendly to everyone I meet.

* I want to smile more, sing more and dance more.

* I want to not worry about the small things. If it is not something I would be upset about tomorrow, then it is not worth getting upset over today.

* I want to love myself. I can only love others if I love myself first.

My Goals:


My Program:
1) I am going to track calories to make sure I am staying within range, but more importantly, I am going to eat mostly quality calories and in moderation.

2) I am going to exercise 6 days a week with a combination of cardio, strenth and yoga.

3) I am going to do 1 good deed per day.

4) I am going to smile 3 times a day at something I normally would not smile about.

5) I am going to say three things that I love about myself each day.

6) I am going to stop and think before I complain about something if it is really worth complaining about.

I am going to act like the person I want to be until I become that person!

    Welcome to SP! I love your goals - they're not all about losing weight, but bettering yourself all over. And your husband's right. You are a person that can change - and you're also the only one that can do it. Good luck! Let me know if you need any help meandering around SP.
